Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe walk up and down can be challenging but that is the way to have the views!
Phenomenal views in a great setting with spacious rooms and patios. Breakfast was excellent and the front desk crew were exceptionally helpful with dinner reservations and transportation arrangements. Hope we can go back!

United StatesThe pool closed at 6 pm every night. Did not open till 10 am. The pool was cold. Property allowed young toddlers in pool with NO swimmies to prevent them from potty and poop in poop. When I addressed this with the receptionist she stated that the pool is for ALL customers.
The view.

CanadaThere is nothing to dislike about. Perhaps if you can't do stairs at all, then it may not be the right place for you.
I love everything about this place the moment I arrived and was so glad that I booked this hotel. This place is very clean, the room decor is very nice, the bed is super comfy, the staffs are all attentive and helpful. Imagine waking up to gorgeous view of the cauldera and the Aegean sea view, beautiful church bells ringing, the unique white-washed houses on the island, the delicious breakfast delivered to your private patio, how I wish this could be forever! Despite the hotel being located many steps down the island, the strong and amazing porter carried my heavy luggage and big back pack up and down those stairs on check in and check out. I am a solo traveller, I wouldn't be able to do it on my own. I actually like it's location being further down the island, its quiet as its away from crowds of people. The cherry topping to all these was I could watch the beautiful sunset from my own private patio in peace. Thank you Porto Fira, thank you to your wonderful staffs Angela and Tina who attended to my questions and problems quickly, Dennis who delivered my breakfast daily, Dimitri who helped me with my luggage up and down the stairs, and the entire porto fira team who made my stay an unforgettably wonderful experience. I look forward to visiting again.

The location! Easy to walk to everything. The view from the balcony is worth every penny. This is the first hotel we actually wanted to just spend the afternoon hanging out on the balcony and not go anywhere! Breakfast delivered to your balcony each morning was fantastic. The suite was spacious and the rain shower was so great I wish I had one at home.

CanadaNothing. We didn't want to leave.
By far, the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I highly recommend this hotel for many reasons. From the start, the staff was incredible, carrying our luggage from where our transfer dropped us off, down many steps to the Porto Fira Suites reception for check-in, down to our suite, then up many steps out to the main street for our departure transfer. All done with a smile! Tina at check-in was excellent, providing us with a summary of all the highlights of Santorini from jazz bars to restaurants. All the important stuff 😉 She was also very accommodating with offering us a late checkout option. The bartenders were very friendly, offering us complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival and a complimentary drink on my 40th birthday. They took the time to share their cultural traditions with me which I really appreciated. The breakfasts were incredible. The waiter carrying those trays down those steps to each room was very impressive. Thank you for my birthday cake by the way! What a wonderful surprise. The room was the most amazing room we have ever been in. The room looks like (and may very well be) carved into the mountain. Very clean 👌 the shower was very cool!! Most unique one we have seen yet. And that view from the windows and balcony is spectacular. It left us speechless. There are no hotels below Porto Fira Suites, which makes it that much more special. Very quiet location but still very close to all the Fira restaurants and shopping. The pool is also gorgeous. The view from the Infiniti pool is stunning. This is also a great place to watch the sunset. We did that on our last night, and no one was by the pool but us. Thank you for the most memorable and spectacular stay and 40th birthday celebration.

IsraelIt's not the hotel's fault but I'm writing it here anyway so that people notice - it isn't accessible by car, walking steps up and down is constantly required. Staff can help you with suitcases from where the cab can take you. Even the walk from the room to the pool requires stairs but such is the layout of this area of Fira so keep it in mind.
Boutique hotel, cute, cozy, amazing view. Even though it is in prime location it is quiet and you don't hear the noises from the parties in the very tourist center of Fira. The staff is super accommodating and helpful I suggest you reach out to them for any help booking anything you might want in advanced and during the stay. The pool is small but so are all pools in Fira, the view from it is breathing and the vibe is chic and chill. The hot tub was always clean and fun to use, and the breakfast is really WOW like the other comments here. They helped organize a secret beautiful proposal for us!

United KingdomQuite a lot of steps, but it’s in the cliff side so to be expected, you wouldn’t get the views without it but prepare yourself, it can be tiring/hard work especially in the heat.

AustraliaThe hotel only provided one complimentary bottle of water and two Nespresso capsules for our entire stay! Every hotel I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world provides complimentary water replenished daily. The hotel charges for any extra water or capsules guest may need during their stay which seems crazy given the premium standard of the hotel and rate. When I queried their policy they did offer me one extra complimentary bottle of water. Also, the swimming pool was a bit cloudy and therefore not really fit for swimming for two days of our stay.

SwitzerlandIt is with great pleasure that I leave my review of my stay at this hotel and I will start by saying that for me this hotel was not 4 "stars" but a minimum of 5+. It was a fantastic holiday in a fantastic hotel organised for us by fantastic staff. Our room with jacuzzi was superb. Large, bright room, with a great bathroom and lovely, authentic design inside. Perfect!!! The view right from the bed over the caldera was unbeatable, and the sunset that you can watch right from the hot tub (or terrace) you will never forget in your life. A big thank you to the restaurant at this hotel. Everything we ordered was extremely delicious and beautifully decorated. From salads to traditional Greek dishes it was so delicious that I see no point in going out for dinner in the centre of Fira. Everything you want from food and service you get right at the hotel) I was left with the impression that the chef used to work at a Michelin restaurant and I give him a big hello! The pool at the hotel was extraordinary too. There is a part that goes out onto the terrace and there is a part that is in a "cave". Bravo to the architect who came up with such beauty. The girls at the reception deserve a special commendation. Not only were we professionally and cordially served, these girls made us a huge surprise and changed our room to a room of a higher category. Thank you for this, you have won our hearts!!! Of course, we are already planning a new trip to Santorini and of course, we don't plan to look for any other hotel. Everything we wanted to get from our trip - we got with a big "plus" exactly in "Porto Fira Suites" My unequivocal recommendation to you! You are the best!!!

AustraliaNothing comes to mind.
This stay has been the pinnacle of our 6 weeks in Europe. Location location location. Staff were excellent. Whilst we toured the whole island it was always great to get back to the Suites. View was the best in town so we had most of our meals on the verandah listening to the music & singing wafting down from the playpens above. Most of the afternoons were spent by the infinity pool. The suites are modern and exceptionally maintained.
