There was no restaurant or bar after 20hrs, which meant you had to go into the town to eat and have a drink

Would have been a 10 but disappointed that we were charged 30 euros for a taxi transfer to the port which we thought was a private transfer at that price. However transpired that the transfer was by minibus we two other couples so driver got 90 euros for 20 minute trip! Felt ripped off.

Breakfast offer and layout. It was quite poor in choice and presentation, some updates are needed as it’s not in line with other establishments on the island, on Naxos or Athens.

The room was large and comfortable with a nice balcony. The pool was a great comfort for our kids (pool guy was so nice!) and the included breakfast was great too. Easy walk to Fira town. They helped us rent a car and the car was brought directly to the hotel and we were able to return it to the port on departure which saved us money on a ride to the port.

As for the weaknesses of the Philipion facility are: Lack of a place where guests can talk freely after 8pm. The pool closes and there is no access even to tables and seats - no lobby.

We visited the hotel with a large group, on the occasion of a wedding. Kostas from the pool bar is an incredibly nice person. For a week, he was like our friend. You could see an incredible commitment to making guests feel comfortable. Willing to try to communicate despite the language barrier, always willing to help and smiling.

This is the perfect place to stay. It is an 8-10 min walk into Fira which is bustling and VERY full of people. While most rush into Fira to find a place to eat with a sunset view you literally have that view right across from this hotel. My recommendation is to eat dinner before or after the sunset and watch the sunset from across the road at the hotel. It is stunning and no crowds, and no rooftops in the way. They easily arranged transport from the airport as well as to the port to catch our ferry. The staff was very very helpful and friendly. They will cater to you! If you arrive before checkin they will keep your bags aside and u can walk into town to explore. The pool area is kept very clean as well as the entirety of the hotel. There is always someone cleaning and they keep everything sparkling neat. They also offer a later checkout of 12pm noon (most other places are 11am). 100% recommend!

10 mins walk to Fira, good location to enjoy the city while staying a bit out of the crowded centre. Convenient hotel parking. The staff is extremely conscious and provides excellent service and tips for things to see or help with local car rentals. Our familly room was spacious but with few natural light/windows.

Breakfast was always fresh and plentiful . Costas was a lovely host greeting us with a smile every morning. The only thing I would suggest is having the option for fried eggs 🍳

Location is very beautiful with Caldera view and about 10 minutes to Fira. You will need a car, scooter or Atv to explore the island. Room was clean and comfy. Luca at the reception is a really helpful and friendly guy. He is just great. Although Santorini is an overpriced and totally crowed place, we had a wonderful time. Whenever you want to stay in santorini book this hotel.

The breakfast room and bar was a little bare Although the staff were excellent the room had no soft furnishing and little outside space.

We loved the spacious room, little terrace, friendly staff and clean swimming pool. Proximity to Fira was spot on as well just a 10 minute walk to the Caldera.

Great staff particularly Costas at the pool and restaurant. Pool area was very well maintained. Hotel was a five minute walk from Fira town centre. Close enough to walk to but far away enough from the busy town and road noise. Bus station was within walking distance.

Exceptional breakfast with everything included ( scrambled eggs, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, yogurt, fruits), spacious room with seaside view, a nice pool and the staff was very kind. They offered the information on how to get around, what to do and see on the island.
