Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomClose proximity to a very busy road. Noisy at night.
Description of the rooms inaccurate and misleading. Facilities ok, dated but clean. Lovely staff. We loved the pool.

Spain80 euros for a mediocre hotel is too much. located very next to a big road with much traffic. did not sleep well. still, it helped us out for one night. but no more.
The only affordable hotel in Santorini that accepted late checkin. The receptionist woke up at 1:30 when we arrived at the hotel after a late flight.

United StatesThe reception staff does not speak English as stated. Also, there was supposed to be a kitchen available which we had planned for. We were told they stopped letting guests use the kitchen 4 years ago. Our personal shampoo disappeared after the first maid service and they put the bars of soap in the toilet. Not sure what that was about. Lastly I believe the children of the staff frequented the pool and were a little loud and rowdy. They hung out in a courtyard by our room and were loud until about 12:30 in the morning.
The bathroom was great. It was nice to have daily maid service. I am so glad there was a pool and a large property. The hotel is not far from black beach in Perissa which was one of the best beaches we visited.

United StatesThe bed linen and towels are too old and worn out, some even with stains. They should improve that because even though they don't smell, they look bad and give you the impression they haven't been changed.
The pool was clean and big. The restaurant's food was tasty and wasn't that expensive. They offered Tours, airport shuttle, car, and scooters' rentals on the site, which were great because you need to get around the island and it's so much better if you do it without having to wait on the public transportation which run till 11:20. The staff, even though some of them weren't very fluent in English they tried and were very nice and friendly.

United KingdomWell, where do we start….. > we made friends with our fellow room residents, cockroaches which we named Christina’s to feel more connected to them. They would fly aggressively into the walls and scale them at Olympian speeds which would send us running down the stairs, I almost fell off the balcony whilst fleeing them. However the cockroach spray from the supermarket was great and they never appeared again. > one morning at 10am I went to the pool for a nice read of my book and the staff had washed the stairs and not put up a wet floor sign meaning I fell top to bottom down stairs and bruised my ankle and side and was in a lot of pain. This hotel loses aura points for that minus 100. > We think it’s quite unusual to have kids aged as young as about 8 working at the hotel till late at night. > We had a lot of stress with our transfer to the airport being told it would be €30 and it was actually €35, and nobody had booked it for us. > One day after our room was cleaned, we found a chocolate stain on the floor and my chocolate filled bun was missing, therefore I think it was eaten by one of the children on the property as the cleaner brought them in the room during cleaning. > Lastbut not least there were multiple youth groups 30< hogging the pool at all hours of the day, they were rather noises and spoiled some of the atmosphere.
The pool was very slay it was giving authentic Greek. The food in the pool bar also slayed, a very yummy pizza. The room was quite spacious which was also nice and stayed cool which was nice with the blazing Greek sun. Loved the balcony for our main character moments where we stared out into the mountains and sipped our €5 bottle of wine. Also great that the supermarket is nearby although it’s always popping off in there very busy. The bus stop is close too which is great if the bus actually shows up which it didn’t often we always got Ubers from there, please note the Uber drivers love take that so be sure to request it. Would highly recommend getting an Uber to the lost Atlantis museum, everyone’s inner historian came out there.

> good value for money when you look for a place to stay over the night > quite calm location to stay, located close to Emporeio rather than to Perissa > nice and friendly owners > close to big supermarket called Sklavenitis (ΣΚΛΑΒΕΝΙΤΗΣ) > close to bus stop to Fira, ask driver to stop at Sklavenitis supermarket (end station in Perissa is far) > fridge, hair dryer, often exchanged towels, clean > has a swimming pool and bar (did not try)

ColombiaThe room gets super hot at night and the AC leaks so it is impossible to keep it on!
Perissa hotel is the description of fair price-quality, the location is 10/10 due the fact is located in Perissa, the beach is a 15 minutes walking. The room was ok if you don’t plan to stay too long in the hotel, however it was clean and the bed was comfy. The pool was nice and the restaurant serves a nice coffee and all you can eat breakfast for 7 euros.

BrazilThe room is very old and looks dirty, specially the floor. Bed sheets and towels had the aspect of old (yellowish). From the floor to the furniture we could feel/see the dust. In the bathroom, the shower and sink metal parts were quite rust. This was one of the cheapest places we found in Santorini, I think it is justified by the condition of the room. If you plan to spent the whole day out like we did and only comeback to sleep then it is OK, specially if you are traveling on a budget.
The staff is so kind, specially the people from the pool bar. The pool is huge and it's a very nice area to spend the afternoon/evening after a busy day. The pool bar has quite a good variety of food and drinks with good prices. The hotel is 20 minutes walking to Perissa Beach and around 20-30 minutes by bus to Fira. There is a supermarket and bus stop just on the side of the hotel. Bus to go to Fira is EUR2.20. It is a good option if you are travel on a budget.

Czech RepublicSalty water from the tap and from the shower, probably common in the area, but highly uncomfortable for us. The so-called common kitchen reminded more a warehouse mixed with shed and garage. Everything there was sticky and seemingly dirty. Better not to go in there.
There was a big clean swimming pool, a nice terrace in front of rooms and the bathroom in the room itself was nice. The staff changed towels every day which was very nice. :)
