Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing - everything was excellent
The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were excellent value and were spacious with a separate living area and outdoor seating area. The breakfast was generous and there was a large range of options. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be planning to stay again.

United KingdomNothing really apart from the walk into town which was quite lonely at times. I did feel a little bit nervous as I was a lone traveller and I would have liked to go into the town occasionally on an evening but didn’t want to walk back alone in the dark.
Lovely staff so helpful and kind. Beautiful room and balcony with a great view. Lovely swimming pool and comfy sun beds. Breakfast was very good. I loved the hanging chair on my balcony it was so comfy. The cleaner was brilliant too. Near to good restaurants.

United KingdomThe uphill walk from Gaios at night was dangerous and a shuttle service from the hotel would have been a good idea even if we had to pay. Taxi 5 euros each way but had to wait a long time to get one.
We found the hotel very clean, staff lovely. The pool was lovely when you could get a sunbed.

United KingdomThe staff need to smile more and a ‘good morning’ goes a long way to enhance their customer service. The property is a good 20 minute walk out of Gaios up a steep hill on a busy road. It is not safe for families with children to walk into Gaios as there are no footpaths and therefore you are walking on a busy road. Also at night the road has no street lights. Therefore a car is required if you wish to transport your family safely back and forth to Gaios. There are limited taxis on Paxos and we heard there are only 5. The hotel should therefore provide a shuttle service to and from Gaios due to its location and the busy road you need to navigate to reach it.
Breakfast had a wide selection of food. However, the hot food was not kept warm for very long. So if you didn’t go for breakfast when the restaurant opened it was not always hot. The pool was a salt water pool but was kept very clean. A couple of small areas of the pool floor need repair to the lining. The room was good with free AC and a comfortable bed. The bath was also modern and there was always plenty of hot water.

Staff are lovely and very chatty which is nice. Pool is lovely and it’s peaceful - Panos and Vangellis were lovely and brought us snacks with our wine free of charge. The walk is fine to town - not harder on the way back Book exchange and complimentary transfers to ferry

United KingdomNo longer offer the transport to the nearby beaches so did have to arrange a taxi.
Beautiful hotel just outside Gaios. The rooms were spacious with a balcony. No sunbed ‘reserving’ with towels and always got a bed wether it be in the morning or after a day out. Good selection of food and drinks at the pool side bar. Breakfast was nice but just needed the coffee machine fixing. Staff were friendly and arranged a pick up and drop off for us to the port. Would highly recommended hiring a boat to explore all of the island as well as visiting anti-paxos. Overall, a lovely, clean hotel and would stay again.

GermanyIt is a long uphill walk from the town - we rented a scooter which was the perfect solution. Breakfast starts at 8 - a little late for us. The pool can be used from 10:30, also rather late for us.

United KingdomThe location was fairly central given its only 15 mins walk to Gaios, however be mindful it’s a steep hill you have to walk up and down in the heat which we did slightly struggle with. Otherwise no complaints!!
This hotel was so beautiful and peaceful. We got picked up at the port by their free taxi service. The staff were so kind throughout the trip. The rooms were comfy, as we were a group we had two rooms next to each other that shared a balcony and porch. The whole hotel was aesthetically pleasing.

South AfricaBreakfast buffet : - fruit salad not replenished if you weren’t quick. Filter coffee very weak. Extra charge for cappuccino. Same for bread selection… not getting replenished. In the room there is a water kettle but you have to buy drinking water (tap water is not drinkable). Zero tea and or coffee in the room so we wondered why bothering putting a water kettle in the room without the amenities (sugar, milk, tea bags, coffee pods etc) in the room. We have stayed in many hotels across the world but quite standard these days are nespresso or similar quality machines with pods complimentary in the rooms, and of course some drinking water should be supplied for free.
Very clean, comfortable and spacious room. Great pool! Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Transfer from the port to the hotel and back a few days later is very efficient and complimentary.

United KingdomWhat lets it down is the quality of the breakfast, it was mediocre. We’ve stayed at 3star places in Greece & had amazing breakfasts- Lots of things but poor quality. For 5 days we were there the coffee machine wasn’t working & I’d always rate breakfast by the quality of the juice - sadly what was ‘orange juice’ was very concentrated squash say no more. There are great quality ingredients in paxos as feedback I’d suggest ‘less is more’
Lovely property - nice small hotel. Lovely friendly staff. We loved eating in Gaios which was a 15 min walk down hill ( hopefully taxi back at €5 if available

United StatesThe location was a little difficult based on the number of taxis that were available when we needed them. The pricing was consistent for the taxis but, it is about 10-15min walk down to town from the property
The property was gorgeous and well kept. It was quiet and the rooms were set up well. We rented the family garden suite and it worked out great for 3 adults traveling together. The pool was great and the staff was fantastic.
