Marcos met me on arrival and showed me around, giving lots of helpful information for my stay. Tavernas short walk away for good meals, beautiful location and easy to get around on local buses. Had a great time.

The host called us when we arrived and was.super nice, I think when someone arrives to the airport you usually feel pretty lost, so I think calling or WhatsApping at the time you arrive to let you know they are ok with you taking a bit longer to get to the location or helping you on how to get there is the best and that is what he did.

Due to the heat, it would have been nice to have a pool as part of the complex.

Everything was amazing! Markos is an excellent host and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again for future visits to Santorini. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable. Large bed, good shower and nice equipment/facilities including coffee machine. We visited multiple places for the sunset but the view from the patio here was easily the best! Short walk to the village itself which was also lovely, and managed to walk to Fira fairly easily. Markos provided and talked through a brochure he put together including maps, bus routes/times and places to visit and things to do. He generously got us a bottle of wine for the first night sunset and was easy to get hold of to answer some questions. Went over and above and allowed us to freshen up way past check out time before we had to get our flight home

The view of the caldera was unmatched, simply incredible. Each night a new beautiful sunset to watch from the lovely patio. The location was perfect. Close to lovely shops and a nice swimming beach 10min drive away.

whilst the location is beautiful, there’s no where under 15minutes walk to pick up any drink/food so you need to plan and stock up your room with refreshments

Not much! We said we would like to have a hammock or a swing chair in the front courtyard but that was the only thing!

Amazing location so peaceful. I definitely reccomend staying here over staying in more central towns like Fira and Oia. We loved every minute of staying here. We had a minor issue on our first night and our host came out at 10pm at night to sort it and it was service with a smile. No complaints, just sorted it straight away. Our host was amazing and gave us all the information about the buses. Which we also found super easy and affordable to get around the island. You don’t need to hire a car if you are not wanting to we did 5 days using the buses and were completely fine. The rooms were very clean and were cleaned every day by the staff here whilst we were out. Good amenities like a fridge and kettle and coffee machine. This made our stay in Santorini so much cheaper as we were able to have breakfast at the room rather than eating out x3 times a day!

I liked everything – one note is that the hotel is not at the center of the village of Megalochori itself, so a car is mostly necessary while staying here. On the flip side, for people who want to explore the island on wheels, the private and free parking lot is a wonderful added amenity that is rare for hotels/airbnbs overlooking the Caldera in Santorini.

Bright spacious rooms near the village of Megalochori. Our host left a large bottle of water and a bottle of white wine as a gift, which was graciously welcome. Large terrace overlooking the Caldera with couches, tables and chairs – great spot to enjoy the sunset away from the crowds. No breakfast available, but with a spacious mini fridge and a nespresso machine in each room it was easy to whip something up to start the day.

The bed was too hard for me. There is also very little soundproofing with the apartment above, but I would still recommend it.

Absolutely stunning views. Markos was wonderful with communication and suggestions. On the last day I left my handbag at a cafe nearby and he picked it up for me and brought it to the airport! Lovely walks and restaurants within walking distance. We liked that it was quiet and uncrowded.

Markos was fabulous. He was responsive fast and provided a number for us to contact him once on the island. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay and evening printing the bus timetable and a list of off season recommendations for us. He met us outside the property at 11pm as we had a late flight and took us through everything thoroughly. We were even provided extra towels to take to the beach. He was friendly and kind and the room was exceptionally clean when we arrived, we also had it dressed half way through our stay and once again it was cleaned to a high standard. The views were breathtaking and we had a fantastic time. Will definitely be staying again if we return to santorini!!!!

Without a car it would be difficult to get to places to eat etc but I think in general you need a car to see the island in it’s entirety
