If you’re not in good physical shape, you may have trouble navigating the long distance and MANY STEPS DOWN from where vehicles drop you off at Oía village. And once down to your very own cave, you’ll still have to navigate several steps to the office/pool/ breakfast, AND of course way back up the hill to Oía village. We did fine, but some of our fellow travelers did no. THIS CHALLENGING ACCESS SHOULD BE DISCLOSED (along with the dream like views!)

The first room was situated right next to reception/breakfast area and we were woken up to the preparation of breakfast.

We had two rooms during our stay. First one was near the reception and the second one was further back with a pool The first room was stunning! Beautifully fitted out with a huge bathroom. The second room was not as stunning as the first yet still pretty special. The pool was a lot of fun and so was the view!

The bed was very hard and she breakfast buffet wasn’t the best. Also had to pay €5 for a cappuccino at breakfast. The only other option was cold filtered coffee

I loved the location, a bit away from the busy Main Street of oia. Felt a little quieter where we were but had the best views of the famous oia sunset. We detached it from the hotel rooftop and could see everyone watching from viewpoints nearby. Right above ammoudi bay which we walked down to for long( be prepared for a good leg workout walking back up) we got the private transfer from airport which I definitely recommend as they great you there and carry your bags all the way to your room. This would be impossible to attempt on your own with all the steps. We arrived at night too so would never have found our way

The location and view are phenomenal. Waking up in the morning to the sight of the sea and perfectly blue sky overhead makes it a perfect start to the day.

The final luggage transfer process was a bit confusing.

The location is wonderful, the property was very well maintained, the staff was courteous - they also helped us book restaurants nearby and arranged for a local map - the room was spacious and clean. Also, the service provided where they offer to arrange transport from the airport to hotel is highly recommended.

We stayed at the volcano suite which is 400m from main hotel! Location was perfect! Staff were great! Although hotel was 400m we had breakfast delivered to us.. first day we found the breakfast was too much food so we ended up going to the hotel for the rest of the days. Volcano suite has everything you need, 2 double rooms, although we only used one. Hot tub which was perfect… has curtains so makes it bit more private.

Known power outages that last a long time. You pay for a room with a hot tub but expect not to be able to use it for at least a day as the power goes out. No compensation given.

If you want the ideal romantic hotel in Santorini you are in the right place. We spent 2 wonderful days, enjoying the wonderful view , the amazing facilities and the very good service of the accommodation! The view of the caldera , the private hot tab the comfy Sun lounger with cooling cocktails from the pool bar , surrounding by buddha bar music and the kindness of the staff with outstanding customer service , will win you over! One of the best decisions we ever made. Oia Mare Villas was the perfect place to relax and enjoy life. The suite ( we were in a hot tab suite) was cosy and super clean with cycladic design and comfortable queen size bed, with high - speed free Wi-Fi , the staff was so nice and so helpful . The view is incredible and the location is very convenient to go anywhere in the village . Probably the best sunset view in Santorini . A breakfast buffet consists of a long table or counter where guests can serve themselves various items . A typical buffet will include items like muffins , croissants, toast , and other baked goods ; hot items such as sausages, bacon, fried potatoes or hash browns, scrambled eggs, etc.; fruit, yogurt, and cereals. Not only do I highly recommend , we are planning another visit next year with friends . Surprising! p.s. Don't miss the catamaran cruise .

There are many cats in Oia in general, I didn’t like to have one in the balcony of the room since I’m afraid of cats.

The location was great, you can see the Oia Sunset from the hot tub of your room, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
