Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsSteep hill nearby, but this is normal on Symi.
Everything about the property is wonderful Especially if you like comfort and relaxation, great views, authentic friendly Symian people plus a delicious freshly made breakfast like we do.

New ZealandWe hadn’t realised how far out it was from the port. The walk in was lovely through the village but there are a lot of steps. It was 20 minutes which normally is nothing, but we hadn’t accounted for doing that in the extreme heat.
The decor was great with a fantastic ceiling. It was comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was a good size with everything you’d need. We had a very good size balcony overlooking a valley with lovely views of the sea and Pedi Beach. It felt very private. The free transfer to and from the ferry was very helpful. It’s on the bus route which goes every hour but doesn’t run late in the evening.

United KingdomOur shower was missing a door.
Our suite was a lovely size with amazing views of Pedi beach from our large terrace. The welcome wine, water and chocolate were a lovely touch. Our hosts also picked us up and dropped us off at the port. The location was perfect for us in Horio which is up the hill from the harbour area which gets busy everyday with day trippers from Rhodes. As such it was peaceful and not overcrowded. There were buses to avoid the 300+ steps from the harbour but we always took the steps as if you take your time it is doable in 10 - 15 minutes. We'd recommend a day boat trip around the island with Poseidon. We went on a Monday and the trip included a stop at the Panormitis Monastery. It also included 3 other swim stops and a great bbq lunch. We'd recommend The Secret Garden restaurant. Its off the beaten track and the food was amazing.

United KingdomThe balcony was very small but some rooms had larger outdoor patio areas.
Beautiful room, spacious, very clean, fresh towels every day and a good selection of toiletries. Also had chocolate and wine left for us which was very nice and a lift from the port and our luggage stored and then brought to the port for us when we were leaving. Good location we could walk to the port, to the village and to Pedi but it is hilly.

Lady who owned the hotel went above and beyond. Pick up from port, wine/chocolate in the exceptional room. Extra water foc when my son was ill. Easy communication via the site and then with a phone number. Also lovely breakfast and amazing views.

United KingdomThe room was comfortable and the people working at the hotel were cleaning it perfectly on a daily basis. The hotel is cited in a beautiful location between the centre of Simi and Pedi. The owner of the hotel was very kind and helpful. The room had a small balcony with a beautiful view at the sea from one side and a picturesque village on the other side which at night looks like a fairy-tale.

GreeceThe hotel is located at the top of a steep hill which makes it a bit difficult to climb up on foot. However, taxis and public transport (bus) are available every hour. Thus, transportation doesn’t consist an issue.
The rooms were super clean and spacious. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, always willing to help us and make our stay in Symi pleasant and easy. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Great communication with the owner, who was so lovely and picked us up and dropped us off at the port at either end of our stay for no charge. The room itself was so comfortable. The room felt very luxurious, lots of lovely little details and touches - clean towels every day, bathroom fully stocked with toiletries, the apartment kitchen had everything you needed. There was a lovely bottle of Greek wine and chocolate on arrival. The AC worked great (essential in the Symi summer heat). The room had a lovely view over Pedi bay and a nice little balcony to enjoy it on.

FranceSimply exceptional :) The atmosphere and decor of the suite, the comfort of the bedding, the facilities, the calm and the breakfast worthy of a palace... Evagelina, with her kindness, availability and advice, gave us a tailor-made welcome and service, and we owe it to her to have enjoyed a week of dreaming. Thank you and bravo for your efforts in French. Françoise and Georges.

Beautiful place with amazing views overlooking Pedis Bay, Symi and George Town. Hostess exceptionally helpful, down to meeting us at the boat and taking our luggage back to the port when we left. Best Greek breakfast EVER!

EstoniaWe stayed for 5 nights and had a suite with terrace. Everything was what we hoped for and even more. Breakfast was superb. Host could even provide porrige for breakfast which is hard to find on this island. She had a solution for every request we had, including transfer from port and back. Room is well equipped with everything we needed. Could easily walk everywhere from hotel: grocery store close by, restaurants (Kali Strata and The Secret Garden), Pedi beach from where you can visit other beaches with taxi boat or rent a boat, which we did. We loved our stay over there 😊

GermanyNothing comes to mind...
As we were towards the end of our trip across several islands in Dodecanese we really enjoyed having some proper rest here - the temperature is just fine inside the apart, very quiet, all the necessary comfort (amazing bed and pillows), big bathroom, everything spotless! - but most important to mention is just how beautiful the whole house it is, all taken care of with utmost attention to detail, we just loved it! We have rented a scooter as we wanted to explore a little more the island, so no issues reaching the apartment on a daily basis, but there is also a bus station close by. the stairs might be a little inconvenient for some, but they are not impossible - plus is always good to walk a bit after a Greek dinner! It was also very nice from the owner to pick and drop us in the harbor, plus the complimentary water, wine and chocolate, all very nice.
