Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Mossa is a beautiful hotel in a great area. It’s very stylishly done out with a great restaurant and pool area. All of the staff are amazing, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help especially the owner Christo.

AustriaEverything. Beautiful and calm setting just a short walk through a park to the beaches (yeah you can choose!). Amazing staff (owner, receptionists and bar/service personell)!! Great advice on things to do and which restaurants to go to. Free bike rental and easy path to cycle into the old town. Delicious breakfast and great cocktails! We even stayed an extra night because we liked it so much. Hopefully we get the chance to come back!

Myself and my partner had the most wonderful stay at Mossa. Just a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Chania old Town it was the perfect location. Christos and all of the staff at Mossa went above and beyond to make us welcome, they were extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged a hire car for us and gave us lots of recommendations on places to visit. A special thanks to Alex for all of the food spots. The hotel itself was beatiful and clean, the room was huge and we were kindly upgraded to a pool view room. Being a wellness hotel it had a great little gym, sauna & steam which we used everyday and georgeous pool. Christos even offers free dance lessons in the studio. The breakfast was delicious including a buffet of breads, spreads, greek yogurts and cakes. We could not fault this hotel and will be returning. Thanks to all the team for the best stay in Crete.

FranceThe hotel is beautiful, and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We booked for one night originally and we stayed 3. The location is ideal to enjoy the 4 different beaches and Chania Town. The restaurant serve delicious dishes and breakfast. It was lovely!

United KingdomAlthough the breakfast was delicious and fresh, options are quite limited and can be repetitive. The coffee machine at breakfast didn’t produce good coffee.
The location of the hotel was perfect. There where many beaches within walking distance, we saw some amazing sunsets at the sunset set beach. There are lots of restaurants locally and we had delicious meals at them all. There are also lots supermarkets nearby. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. Alex in particular was super helpful, Alex would send us emails with all the amazing sites that only only locals could advise on. We really appreciated this. On the night of our arrival we arrived at the hotel late and the team arranged for the restaurant to stay open and cook as a hot, fresh meal. The staff at this hotel are a credit to the owner. Chania town is a short 10 mins drive away where there are many restaurants and shops. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were extremely helpful. It was a very relaxing stay. Sitting by the pool was a perfect location and there were many beaches just a walk away.

We enjoyed our stay at Mossa so much that we are sure to come back here if we visit Chania again. The heated pool, spacious room, breakfast, everything was just great. The location is perfect, about 3 kms from the town of Chania and with several beaches nearby and walking/running/biking trails. Christos and his staff were genuinely service-minded, and helped us with great tips and recommendations. We could not have asked for more.

United KingdomChristos, the owner, was an excellent host. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was very helpful suggesting places to visit and sent links. He would also organise tours of various places. He also put on a programme of dance classes and pilates. We loved the dance class! Breakfast was really good. Menu was innovative and imaginative with plenty of choice. We loved the Greek omelette and yoghurt and fresh fruit salad and also had a healthy version of bacon and eggs. Alex, who oversaw breakfast and lunch, greeted us every morning so warmly and remembered small details like how I take my tea and had good recommendations for visiting places of interest. Location was excellent overlooking a park and near the sea with beaches two minutes away. Heated swimming pool a real joy.

We loved our stay, the hotel is spotlessly clean, beautiful pool, lovely rooms and the staff cannot do enough for you. They are all really lovely, helpful and thoughtful. They helped with daily activities, looked after us so well. The hotel is right opposite a park and two beaches. We got taxis to the old town which is nearby and the hotel helped us book a hire car so we could go further afield.

GermanyEverything was just awesome! The hotel is brand new with great facilities and rooms. It offers nothing less than what a resort would, but only in a smaller and friendlier fashion which makes it nicer and chill. Excellent handmade and fresh breakfast, lots of activities to do (within and outta the hotel), and in an amazing location. It's near the city of Chania and within walking distance to 4 different beaches in the area. The hotel employees and managers were very polite, friendly and were always willing to give us tips and suggestions during our stay! I am definitely staying there again!

BelgiumUnfortunately „well being“ does not mean „adult only“ and the pool area got quite noisy at times. Limited sun beds available. Breakfast got a bit repetitive and no avocado toast available Sunday-Wednesday. The floor of the upstairs area in the room was very dirty/sandy. Smoking allowed on terraces. Cleaning lady did not refill toiletries and water. Fitness without a pretty view, better to run in the park :)
The kindest staff, from check-in to breakfast/bar! Always happy to give some tips on what to see or do. Perfect location, near many restaurants and beach bars, walking distance to Chania old town, directly at some beautiful beaches and a park, perfect for running! Tasty breakfast with avo toast or omelette. kind welcome treat as well as a goodbye gift. The comfiest sun beds!

FinlandThis is a minor detail and not really a minus, but in our opinion the blankets were too warm, when not having the air conditioning on in the night. However, when you use the air-co, this should not be a problem.
We have very high expectations when choosing hotels, but this wonderful hotel totally fulfilled them. The hotel is very clean, brand new and every little detail is carefully taken care of. The owner Christos and his staff are so welcoming and friendly, and have always time to chat with the customers and give tips of the hidden gems around the area. The hotel is centrally located (3,5 km from Chania downtown), but still in a quiet spot close to four very nice beaches. We will definitely come back soon!

Mossa is a fantastic boutique hotel. Brand new, a lot of thought in every part. We had a suite which is amazing. Bad is very comfort. The breakfast which is served to the table is excellent with many choices. Location is superb, 4 beaches of about 500 meters radius, and Chania is 5 minutes by car. Staff is just perfect, and the owner who is also the manager is always around, and help with any need.

Room also included a Nespresso machine which we loved. 2) Staff is super friendly and willing to help regarding things to do in Crete. 3) Breakfast is healthy and delicious.
