Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesThe door in the bathroom is bit difficult to open so we just did not close that door. The bed and bathroom area could be bigger.
The spacious room and cleanliness. We had two balconies in the upper level room. It is located by the road so cars still pass by at night but we just close the windows facing the road. We slept well. 10 min walk to see the caldera view (walking path) and also 10 min walk to go to Carrefour to buy groceries.

United KingdomCommunication with Jackie at the property was outstanding. We communicated from the day before we flew out from London to Santorini. The property was clean and tidy. The property has free onsite parking. All amenities provided in the room. We needed an iron one night and this was delivered to our room no problem.

BrazilLocated halfway between Akrotiri and Perissa Beach to the south, and Oia to the north, the tranquil village of Imerovigli offers a serene escape on Santorini. Unlike the bustling Fira, which receives an influx of tourists from the port, Imerovigli maintains a peaceful ambiance. I highly recommend this place, but with one caveat: having a rental car is essential. Public transport in the area isn’t reliable. Imerovigli truly stands out for its unreal views of the caldera and some of the best photography spots on the island. Plus, its high elevation and west-facing facade make it an ideal spot to watch the sunset. The communication with Jackie via WhatsApp was prompt and clear.

United KingdomThe hotel is by a road although I have to say that it didn't stop me from sleeping soundly (with the windows closed as it wasn't too hot). The beautiful caldera walk (going from Fira to Oia) and view is within 5-10 minutes walking. However, the walking access to it is not simple to spot. There is a narrow track (with loose rocks and spiky plants in it, making it not the best place to walk with sandals or open footwear) by the entrance that runs for about 200 metres to the driveway of another hotel behind the Meli Meli (this hotel was not showing up in google maps so it is probably new), and then you have to walk to the right through what looks like private land to reach the caldera view or walk on a narrow track by the hotel wall on the right. The other access is more obvious but involves walking to the left on the road (should be careful as there is no hard shoulder) until the Taverna Tassos and then turning left onto a paved walk. This way takes a bit longer but still less than 10 minutes. During the daylight both ways are OK (with care) but if you go out to Imeroglivi for dinner and return when it is dark, it is a bit trickier and you need a torch (or the mobile phone torchlight). But don't let this put you out of going to the hotel, it is a very comfy and friendly hotel, and the value for money is great.
The room was very nice and comfortable, spacious, with two balconies (sun in the morning and the afternoon in each side), and very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. It had a coffee machine and they left us some coffee which came very handy for breakfast. Very well located to walk to Imeroglivi, Fira or even Oia (if you like walking, it is a beautiful walk on the caldera of about 1h45' that takes you to Oia, which is worth a visit). The swimming pool was very nice and clean. The people working in Meli Meli were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomCould have had a toaster although it did have a sandwich maker. Location was on a busy road and a walk up a fairly steep hill or road to get to the main caldera.

United KingdomSlightly ‘damp’ room ie unused clothes felt damp in our room. May have been because early in season and rooms unused. Shame no breakfast offered but we knew this.
Friendly staff, lovely setting/buildings, everything as we expected. Spacious bathroom, quiet and not busy with well stocked individual bedroom/bathroom/kitchen facilities.

Markella was a great help both before and during our visit. The room was extremely clean and well maintained throughout our stay, with a comfortable bed and pleasing decor. Very quiet with plenty of space outside. A deep and cool swimming pool was a welcome relief from the hot October sun. The nearby supermarket and Taverna Tasos were easily accessible (although the road is busy and lacks a pavement), and the coastal walk is just a few minutes away.

United StatesNot an issue, but just one note: the shuttle and food services they offered to arrange through Meli meli were cash only, and we didn’t stop at an ATM when leaving the airport, which was a mistake. Cash is needed on this island. Luckily there was an ATM up the road near Rocabella, and the driver stopped for us and let us get cash to pay him. You should know that there’s apparently a flat rate for Ubers on the island of $35 euros during our stay, no matter how far you go, so it was helpful to have the hotel be able to arrange rides for us too. I did walk twice up the road to the little supermarket, and got water bottles and snacks we could keep in our fridge, and it was super dangerous with no sidewalks and very fast driving cars. I reccomend on your way to Meli Meli from the airport, get cash for rides and food delivery if you aren’t renting a car, and stop at a market first for water or toiletries, and then you can spend more time enjoying the view and relaxing by the gorgeous pool! I saw some reviews rate the bathrooms low, but we didn’t have an issue. The water was HOT and excellent water pressure after a sweaty day. The bathrooms are smaller than American bathrooms and yes they are the “wet” style, but having traveled in Europe and Asia we were used to that and it wasn’t a problem. If you are just strategic with your stuff you can avoid getting everything wet.
Loved our stay at Meli Meli! We had room 5, it had two really lovely picturesque terraces with views! It was wonderful to have so many windows and the little kitchenette, too. It was nice to stay somewhere smaller and more boutique, we had plenty of privacy but someone local to ask questions if we needed. Can’t beat the location and price, a very short walk to the caldera neighborhood. Markella was super helpful, as we had a lot of questions and needed directions multiple times. As soon as we arrived she gave us a sheet with a map and recommendations and phone numbers, so thoughtful! I even needed an iron for our formal clothes for a wedding we were attending, and I messaged her on WhatsApp and she kindly brought it to our room. On a day we were going to the beach, she put in a call to the travel company they work with and no joke a very nice swanky van showed up in 5 minutes to take us and our friends two hotels up the road to the bay. Wifi was great as we were uploading photos ol every evening. AC worked excellent as I am a very hot sleeper. Washed our clothes and hung out to dry on the drying rack provided on the terrace overnight. Loved our stay!

United StatesThe towels, changed every day, were gray, probably from over washing, as were the robes that were provided (and not used by us).
The hotel is a gem, located in Imerovegli, far from the crush of crowds. There are a few rooms, and ours had a small but sufficient kitchen space. The pool was a plus as were the reasonable rates.

Everything! This hotel felt so private, with only 6 rooms. Got so much alone time around the pool and on the comfy sun loungers. Marcela, our host, was so helpful and would get anything we needed. She provided lots of information about the surrounding area and gave us recommendations. Loved that we could message her via WhatsApp with requests. Our flight was at midnight but we were allowed to stay by the pool all day, and use the shower and toilet downstairs. Bed was comfy and shower was good.

PolandWouldn't it have been great if the pool hours were longer (8am to 8pm)? Despite that, our stay was an absolute delight!😄🏊♂️
When we decided to go to Santorini, we were worried about finding an affordable and comfortable hotel. But we lucked out with this cozy and quiet place. Our room was great, the receptionist was super helpful and friendly, and we loved the pool. It's also conveniently close to bus stops and markets, just a 10-15 minute walk away. Our room was equipped with all the essentials, including an iron, air conditioner, kettle, and more. In terms of value for the price, this hotel truly exceeded our expectations. Santorini became even more special thanks to our stay here!
