Very good contact with the host and very easy and quick check-in. Thanks to the hints received from the host before the arrival, we could make arrangements that made our holidays smooth and easy. The room was a part of a larger flat shared with other guests, which was a very nice idea. A very spacious living room, kitchen, and terraces made us feel comfortable if not pampered. The old town is in the walking distance from the flat (15 minutes on foot). The hidden secret of the location was the street market on Friday morning, just 50m down the street, with lots of local, quality products (at very reasonable prices). Supermarket, bakery, restaurant, all are just on the same street, not more than 100m away. There was also no problem to park a car on a street.

Mattres needed an update.

The room was clean, and we had a very cosy small balcony. You can easily reach the city centre walking 25 mins. Good quality price ratio. The pizza and coffee places next to the building are great!

No air conditioning in my room. There is a fan but it's kinda loud so earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper.

Staff is really nice and helpful. The place is clean and there is fresh cold water to drink and a washing machine that you can use. The lounge is nice and comfy. I had own balcony with my room.

Everything was perfect

Lovely owners, beautiful spacious apartment and rooms, with fully equipped kitchen, great balcony, and a lovely garden area. Truly a home from home…and in a really great location to explore! The apartment is within walking distance to Heraklion city centre with all its iconic sights and great shops. A good supermarket, coffee shops, pizza shops and bakery is literally on your doorstep and Ammoudara beach is only a short bus ride away. 10/10

It would have been nicer to have a room with a private bathroom, but we knew that those rooms were already occupied for our dates and we only stayed for two nights, so it was okay to share the bathroom with other guests.

Nice apartment to stay at, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The washing machine and iron were a big plus for us, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Maria and her husband are lovely hosts, with lots of tips for Heraklion and they also helped us with affordable car rental in the city.

The object doesn't have aircondition (though there was fan), and doesn't have mosquito net.

The object was clean, it is spacious, the kitchen was great and there is water cooler and washing machine and Maria is a great host.

We stayed during the heatwave so the lack of aircon wasn’t great. The accommodation is about a 30 minute walk to and from town with no shade.

The room was basic but comfortable, with a solid ensuite and roomy, private balcony. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The free washing machine was a lifesaver. The owner was easy to communicate with and super helpful.

It is a pain in the back to get to the property on foot - it takes around 40 minutes from the centre (through not too nice neighbourhood).. The lack of air conditioning in the middle of the heat wave... made it all really uncomfortable.
