United StatesHorrible, horrible, horrible experience. First of all, my flight arrived earlier than scheduled, and I contacted the property to ask if I could check in early, Fany responded that unfortunately I couldn’t because the room will not be ready and the check in was at 3PM as if I didn’t know the rules, I was just asking for a favor. The main reason why I was so unhappy with this place, is that they were only hand towels, not bath towels whatsoever. I contacted them immediately and Eleftheria responded asking to check closets and dryers. Not even a sorry for the inconvenience, I think the word sorry is not part of her vocabulary. I replied back stating that there were none, to what she responded that they were going to contact the right department to get me the towels. The department? It sounded as if I was staying at the Embassy suites Hotel in BOSTON. To me It was a very simple request, all she needed to do was to contact the cleaning person and I would have the towels the following day. I was so disgusted and ended up living in paying for another hotel. I left Saturday afternoon at 2:45PM and there were still no towels, since Thursday that I had reported the issue, to top it there were women’s clothes hanging on the open closet in a pair of women’s sandals, they did not bother removing them before we arrive. They are extremely irresponsible, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only good thing about this place is the location, but the building is also very deceiving, it looks very nice from the outside, but once you are inside is very old and dark. The elevator is very old and spooky. The room is OK, but has a horrible view, once you go out in the balcony, all you see across is broken old windows and old balconies full of trash. Frankly, I do not know where the lovely part comes from.

BulgariaIt was not cleaned well. The microwave was durty with crumbs and spill stains. There were small bugs (fortunately dead) between the glass panels of the table. Also, there was a big brown stain on the matress, and a bucket full of durty watter was left on the balcony. But more disappointing was the reaction of the host after we notified them of the above (with photos). No apology at all but just a simple statement that "the appartment has been cleaned and some stains can't be removed". Nothing about the rest. Other than that, they were responsive, and we had no issues.
The location and the building were nice. The bed was very comfortable. The appartment is renovated, there was good daylight, and everything you need for a short stay in Athens.
