Very happy with my stay.

Very nice place.It way easy to get into Chania by bus .Close to plenty of nice tavernas and bars.The taverna at the hotel was very nice and good value for money,right next to the beach.The rooms were a good size and kept very clean,plenty of utensils for self catering also.Free sunbeds for residents on the beach and good pool if you don't like sand. A very good stay thank you to all at the Kato Stalos Mare.

Fantastic place, very nice and helpful staff. Great restaurant with the best food in Crete. Right by the sea. Close to many attractions in the area. Parking available.

property needs a bit of TLC Swimming pool needs to be open all day Toaster in room was broken 😳

property was right on the beach , No roads to cross, beautiful Mediterranean Sea on your doorstep very quiet and chilled out super friendly laid back staff bus stop outside for Chania etc If you need a change of scenery, I would highly recommend Sunset Beach where the locals hang out…it’s a lovely 1 hour walk along the beach towards Chania 👍

Hard to find someone to communicate, a little disorganized.

Impressive seaview from the bed!!! The property is really on the beach, drink something and do not need to pay for sunumbrella. Bus stop, shops, tavernas are very close, room was clean, stuff, owner very nice!

This hotel doesn't deserve score as it is presented on booking, max. score should be 7. It is not fair to other hotels, where staff work hard to get high score which really deserve....

The only thing what was really good was location of the hotel, and the cleaning lady from Romania was the only bright spot.....

there’s no much we didn’t like. we could probably say the swimming pool and communal areas could benefit from some redecoration the be as nice and shiny as they were few years ago!

Loved the location on the beach. Our room had a gorgeous sea view from the balcony which we really enjoyed. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, special shout out to the cleaner and her amazing towel art! Can’t recommend this place enough, we had the perfect week. The food at the restaurant was also really nice. Excellent value for money overall.

The same problem with all the hotels; they are not smoke free and the other customers smoking everywhere and all the time really bothers me personally. Nothing to complain about the place. Great value for the money.

I loved the closeness to the beach and the sea view from my room. The owner made you feel a welcomed guest not just a paying customer. There is a nice restaurant at the premises which is so convenient and another taverna and mini market just accross the street.

That I couldn't stay longer!

I can highly recommend Kato Stalos Mare as your place to stay when visiting Crete. The staff were so welcoming and kind from when we first arrived. The hotel is very tidy and leads straight out to the beach, we had a gorgeous sea view from our room, the cleaner would surprise us each day with varying forms of towel animals and THE FOOD is next level incredible. I’m talking great authentic Greek food like you’ve been invited into a locals home to eat. Can especially vouch for all the vegetarian items on the menu. Location wise, it is really handy to Chania Town with a local bus that runs on the same road the hotel is on. I had the most amazing time here and am already looking forward to when I can next visit. Thanks to Niko and the team for making our trip to Crete unforgettable.

The cleaning lady turned my towels into animals! So lovely surprise, every time! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the view was nice towards the pool and sea.

Amazing holiday in Kato stalos :) - Staff extremely kind and available. They find a fast solution for every problem. They also gave us their olive oil as gift; - Super hotel services: the hotel's restaurant/bar is delicious (the owner offer us also a dinner). There are also free sunbeds, private parking and swimming pool; - WiFi is good also for working purposes; - The room in front of the sea, provided with all the stuffs for cooking and balcony. - The room has been cleaned every day and also towels have been changed every day. Super recommended!!

Nothing to complain about, really!

The room was perfect and cleaned each day. Big bed, small kitchen, very good aircondition. The swimming pool is big enough to chill and relax or to play with childrens. The beach is fabolous and next to the hotel and restaurant, so You can order food and drinks from the sunbeds. The Owner is very kind and professional, all We asked was solved and done in a blink of an eye. Highly recommend.

This place is wonderful, the location, the people. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, the staff nice and helpful, cool housekeeping making new towel designs every day. Good restaurant at the hotel, the beach just outside your room with free sunbeds. It has been a wonderful stay, and we will be back!

My best friend and I arrived and everyone was so nice and lovely! The owner and all the stuff members are one of the loveliest people we’ve ever met! Had a room with an amazing view and the restaurant right next to the beach had the most amazing Greek food! We’ll always come back!

The beds were a bit too soft for us. The major problem at the beginning of our stay was that there were no blackout curtains or shutters. After a day or two of waking up early, we decided to take advantage of the hour and go for a swim before breakfast. It was the best part of the day. The bathroom shower was also a little on the small side so be prepared.

loved, loved, loved the breakfast - it was definitely worth the money. The food of the restaurant was quite tasty and convenient when we didn't feel like going somewhere else. We enjoyed the location with the beach at our feet and when we didn't feel like getting sandy, there was always the pool to cool off in. We also loved the cleaning woman and her creative designs with the towels.
