It was a 2nd time for us to stay because we liked it. It's located on the skirt of Meteora that gives a magnificent view of Meteora from the hotel entrance. The breakfast was excellent in the variety of choice.

The air conditioning in the room didn’t work so well.

The location was simply perfect! Nestled in the beautiful town of Kastraki overlooking Meteora. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with beautiful decor. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent!!

Good location : one of the monastery located 15 min walk, some of taverns near the hotel, souvenirs shop in front of the hotel. Parking place near the hotel entrance. Comfortable bed, very quiet at night.

The shower was small and inconvenient, you cannot avoid splashing water all over the bathroom floor. Also the water pressure in the shower was low. Our balcony did not have a view of Meteora but of the back yard.

The location is a walking distance from the trail going up to the monasteries, and right next to restaurants\tavernas. The beds are comfortable and there is free parking at the hotel. Breakfast buffet is very nice.

The only negative point, if any, was that the AC in the bedroom did not work. However we didn’t mention it to the management as our stay was short, so maybe they would have fixed it.

On-site parking was cramped during our stay in early October. Tour buses constantly driving-by from sunrise to sunset. More restaurants, shops, etc. are located in nearby town of Kalambaka. Hotel was so busy/booked that they could not be flexible with accomodations requests.

The property was conveniently located on the main road to the monasteries, with exceptional views of the rock formations. The continental breakfast buffet had many choices, so we were sufficiently filled and caffeinated. There were a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and we tried two that were across from the hotel. The room and bathroom were comfortable, clean, and updated. Our 2nd floor room at the back of the hotel, had a small balcony overlooking the scenic valley, olive & citrus groves, and a building next door. The sunset views from the balcony (valley) and front of the hotel (rocks), were truly oustanding.

Kastraki Hotel was a great choice for three days in Meteora. Extremely friendly both in the hotel and in the community around. Staff very helpful with a map and advice on how to visit monasteries and organised transport with an exceptional driver (who was well informed on the area and more than happy to share his knowledge). Great wifi. Great breakfast. Great views. Two atmospheric and good inexpensive restaurants with 2 to 3 minutes walk.
