Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaExcept first two days it was too windy. Unfortunately our host is not the wind god ;O). Still he could point us to a different beach less windy. === continuation from the "you like" At 5min walk you have a store with a lot of things you need. There is also an Italian restaurant and a Greek taverna, we mostly eat in the second one. Behind the taverna is a bigger sandy beach with sunbeds and the entrance to the see is very good. Unfortunately that is all you can do locally. But we had a rented car and in 20-30min you can go anywhere on the island. We went during the day to Red Beach, Perrisa Beach, Akrotiri town, Ancient There and in the evening to Fira, Kamari and Open Air Cinema. If you don't have a car and still want to go to night parties in Fira, you can take the bus from the store. Last but not least, Dimitrios was very communicative, responsive when we had requests and helped us with suggestions of where to go on the island. I warmly recommend this location if you want to have a peaceful holiday!
This may be a long review as we liked a lot of things. So, if you came to Santorini for night life, you can stop here. We came the whole family, parents and two daughters. That is why we looked for a beach front, two bedrooms apartments. And Dimitrios' house was exactly what we were looking for. And it was much more. The bedrooms are at first floor with their bathroom with shower. Both have the air conditioning that can run in any conditions (no key or open window restrictions - so be careful not to leave it open). Both bedrooms have plenty of space in the cupboards, the smaller one may be a little too small, but it was more than enough for our daughters. The crown of the first floor is the balcony on the bigger bedroom with straight view to the see. Seeing the sunrise in our first morning was priceless. The ground floor has a very well equipped kitchen, the only thing someone would miss is the microwave. It has its own bathroom, also with shower, so we could have a good split when coming from the beach. The living room is very spacious, here you can eat your breakfast or any other meal you ordered or prepared. The TV is a smart one, and you can enjoy several known movie applications. We were surprised by several book available in the living room but we were prepared for that from home. In front of the entrance, there is a small terrace, with a small table, two chairs and a cocoon where you can relax in the evening. At 20m from the house you can go to a small beach with three trees to get some shade. At about 50m from shore there is a stone barrier that stops the waves, and create a small area where kids can have a lot of fun (not very deep water). After the stone barrier you can go into the see, and, if there are no big waves, you can enjoy the swimming. It last for us only first two days, then it was too windy and wavy. I am out of possible words here so I will continue in "what didn't you like" ===

SwitzerlandWe adored the proximity to the beach. Litteraly in front of the house. Our group both liked bigger waves and the stiller water and both options were right in front of the door. We stayed one week and we tried almost every restaurant on the street and our favorite was really Captain Loizos ! The staff was so kind and so happy to see us, which gave it an even better vacation feeling. Dimitrios was also so attentive and would have been there directly if we would have needed anything ! So great :) The bus #18 from the airport/ fira drops you off almost in front of the house (200m). You can also rent quads and scooters not too far away for a good price (70€ per day). We would definitely come back and we highly recommend! Thank you again :)

BelgiumOur host (Dimitrios) was super responsive and helpful. Our ferry was delayed and he stayed connected and patiently waited for us to arrive. The house was precisely what we needed and the location suited us on the "quieter" side of Santorini. We had such a pleasant experience with this property and its services. Thank you Dimitrios! This property is highly recommendable.

United StatesLocation is bit off from main roads and it was in the corner of the town. Nothing much to do there during our visited time as its winter. Maybe in Summer its a different story as its on the sea side and may have other activities to do which I'm not sure about it.
Dimitri was very friendly host and he did offered and picked us from Airport as the house is very close to Airport. House was very clean and had all amenities (Kitchen, Hairdryer, Bathroom towels, Soaps, TV to name a few) but it was little small for us all as we were five. Dimitri also provided us extra time to check out as we had flight late in evening. Overall very good and decent host.
