We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesLocation is a bit far from the port, so plan for a taxi. Room was clean, but basic. Not a lot of frills, but if you plan to be going out, you won’t notice.
Staff were very friendly and breakfasts offered a variety of choices. Not a long walk to restaurants downtown. Quiet location.

GermanyOur shower glass seemed broken because it didn't have a door, so it was open in the middle, without any glass. When showering it would make the bathroom floor very wet.
The room had enough space for three people, it was clean and comfortable. The location was also good!

It is in the center of the town. Clean and comfortable. We had a family room and for the kids pleasure a big TV with netflix. Also good WiFi connection.

CanadaOne evening we wanted to eat our take out in the lounge area and we’re told we could not and not take it to our room. This meant we had to sneak are takeout in. Lounge had table and chairs so we’re surprised she told us we could not use it.

Uruguayon both occasions that I have stayed in the hotel there has been no tea making facilities in the room and I have had to ask for this and then wait. This is not convenient if you are arriving at night after a long journey. Also this facility is standard in hotels of 3 star and above these days so I think it is a shame.

GreecePerhaps some other arrangement for the 5th bed (it was a foldable couch, really uncomfortable to sleep on). I could use a hanger in the bathroom for towels and clothes.
Value for money choice for a family. Spacious air-conditioned room. Walking distance (~1.2 km) from shopping center, restaurants, cafes, bars and monuments. The parking is impossible in around area but there is a parking co-working with the hotel just round the corner. The staff was very friendly.

United StatesGreat location for enjoying the city center! We needed a room with 3 beds and it worked out well. Nice to have a breakfast included (ham, cheese, breads, yogurt, - basic but fast and convenient). It has a lift which was really nice for luggage. Hotel arranged taxis that were prompt.

BelgiumSmall rooms (not enough room for rolling out a yoga mat) and tiny bathroom. Yet you don't really hear your neighbours. Busy and very noisy traffic though (bring ear plugs if you want to leave the window open at night).
All the shops are nearby and it is just a short walk to all the sights. Good tv channels (the English movies are subtitled in Greek) should you want to stay in for a night. Friendly staff at the front desk who are fluent in English as well.
