Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

We recently stayed in the Honeymoon Suite in Homeric Poems. It really blew us away. The view was amazing. The staff were absolutely brilliant and extremely friendly. Everything was very clean. I cant rate this hotel high enough. We will definitely be back. The breakfast every morning was perfect. We loved everything about the place.

United KingdomA few of the mosaic tiles were coming a little loose in the bathroom but, it's been a tough year / 2 years for everyone and I appreciate that it'll take a little more time for some minor fixtures to be fixed. It is literally a nitpick.
Oh my goodness, I loved everything. The sunset view was the best we found on the whole island. Which is perfect, as restaurants with a good sunset view are expensive and you have to book so early in advance for a good table. With Homeric Poems it's on your balcony! The breakfast comes straight to your balcony each morning which is a lovely little luxury. The staff really did make the hotel, they are all so friendly, know your name, go out of their way to make your stay the best they can. We were checked in early, we had a beautiful room and the reception booked all our restaurants and excursions in advance. I have stayed in many amazing hotels across the world, and this is in my top 3. The location is also incredible - a short walk to Fira and a short walk to Imerovigli. We almost stayed in Imerovigli and I'm glad we didn't. Although it's a lovely village with gorgeous restaurants, none of the hotels seemed as private as Homeric Poems, and they are much more expensive. Oia is way too busy. This is a great place for privacy but with a decent location that's easy to travel around the island. I didn't think I'd want to return to Santorini twice as it's a small island where you can see everything in a couple of days, but this hotel has made me want to return! (Also, Booking.com showing we only stayed here for 1 night but we actually stayed for 5. We had 4 nights in one room and 1 night in another :) )

United KingdomThe shared pool was unusable because the water was very cold at this time of the year, probably because it was constantly renewed rather than left to be heated by the sun, but this might have been due to COVID regulations, I’m not sure.
Food was lush, view was lush and our room was very comfy and enjoyable.

We stayed at Homeric Poems for 2 nights in September and loved everything! Beautiful room, breathtaking view and wonderfully friendly and warm welcome from everyone working at the hotel. We ate one evening here and the food was fantastic. Perfect location to walk and explore Santorini. Thankyou Homeric, and we hope to visit you again!

China-Transportation is inconvenient, not convenient to take a taxi, and there is no public transportation -The reply to messages on Booking is slow. After checking in, I asked for information about public transportation and did not receive a reply -The lack of chairs in the room required phone communication before they were sent. In addition, I stayed for three days without replenishing toiletries. Since I returned to the hotel late every day, I also brought my own and did not call the hotel to replenish

Much better than the last place we booked Staff super helpful and friendly. The only reason I did not give 5 because just like all places in Santorini on the cliff they are very expensive for what you get. Except the view and location of course.

Switzerlandositive / view and location but the property does not qualify for 5 start status both in terms of amenities and service. We were offered the top apartment which had very deep long stair cases to access to the restaurant and pool.The pool had a shaking aka broken steel walk way in the water. The attitude of the staff was not to receive feedback and concerns, instead they seem to bask in the glory that they have very good ratings online which is the reason we booked them in the first place. The biggest dissappoinment was when my husband requested for a few mins delay in checkout post 11 am / the staff threatened us to charge for delay by the minute. This was not stated in the booking confirmation so is not a standard policy. We did not find the experience pleasant and would not recommend this place to family and friends. We were a family of 4 global travellers travelling with teen kids. We have stayed in numerous hotels in Santorini and this one has been the biggest disappointment for the money they charge
