Lovely spacious and comfortable apartment, located very close to the centre of Pirgos which is a very pretty village, away from the mayhem of Thera and Oia but still with great bus links. Well equipped. Great views from the large terrace. Outdoor ‘hot’ tub great to relax in. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. You could not find better anywhere! We only stayed two nights as we were en route to another island but could happily have stayed for much longer!

John was the most kind and helpful host we have ever experienced. Such great recommendations - we saved so much time researching the area and what to prioritise due to the great recommendations. We had such a great time visiting beautiful areas and having such great food following Johns recommendation. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful historic place in such lovely part of the island. 😊🇬🇷☀️

We loved loved everything about this home. John was more than hospitable and helpful and went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. His suggestions where to go and where to eat was spot on! He spoiled us with juice and beers in the fridge. He made reservations for dinner for us as well as for a trip with the catamarang. We arrived as guests but left as family.

The winery was beautifully preserved and the decor was absolutely beautiful. You could feel the love and care of generations present in creating a unique experience for guests. The winery had been in the family for several generations and it’s everything and more than we hoped for. It was a joy to visit with our three daughters. We rented two of the apartments.

Beautiful stay. Adorable with great history. We loved the decor and the personal touch Flora & her husband made. We loved the recommendations for food & attractions and we highly recommend taking their word because we had one of our best meals on the island at a restaurant they recommended.

Nothing really!

Flora met us on arrival and let us into the property. Her husband George spent some time with us and explained things to do, places of interest and the advice was fantastic, especially the restaurants he suggested! Both were lovely and welcoming. The ‘Winery Suite’ was fascinating, built from the original family winery. The main bedroom was where the family used to stomp on the white grape harvest! Access to the property was a little tight, up a narrow lane, but we had a small car so no problem really. Parking on site was easy and spacious. Really, there was nothing we didn’t enjoy on our stay, and Pirgos is a great central quiet location to explore the island from. Highly recommended.

Flora's House & Cave Winery is large with a sitting area/kitchen, two bathrooms, a bedroom and area to sit outside. Most important is that it is a very charming space with a fascinating history. Our host was gracious and spent time with us explaining the history of Flora's house and giving us advice on what to see and where to eat in Santorini. He also arranged a car rental for us and transfers from the airport and to the ferry. The house had parking for our rental car, and was in an excellent location for the exploration on foot of the charming village of Pyrgos.

Beautiful, spacious, original, very comfortable and quiet. We only had one night here, ahead of taking a ferry to a smaller island, and were sad not to have more time at this wonderful place. I would definitely return on a future trip to Santorini. It’s incredibly good value for the quality and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Pyrgos is lovely and probably a lot calmer than the very touristy places further north.

An outstanding property. The Winery Suite is spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen, including a super large fridge. The decor is exquisite, fashioned from the Akrotiri Archeological Excavation with replica art frescoes on the walls. There is also a homage to the wine industry with beautifully crafted old wine vats highlighted with subtle lighting and with walkover transparent view to below. The beds are very comfortable with lovely fresh linen. There is a large delightful courtyard with flowering plants and seating and table. And all thus within minutes walk from Pyrgos Square. The other wonderful aspect is the perfect quiet! Most unusual for busy Pyrgos in August!! I will return to this very special place and give many thanks to the beautiful hospitality from Flora and her husband Giorgos and her father Yiannis.

No aircon in the main bedroom, can get stuffy overnight.

We chose to stay in Pyrgos, away from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia and Floras House far exceeded our expectations. The Cave winery suite was awesome and very unique. Was cool during the day and warm over night. Flora recommended a few nice places to eat, and the castle on the hill was great to watch the sunset over the entire island. Only a short bus into fira, and can get off the bus at santos wines (only 10minute walk from property) if coming from the port.

The apartment is spacious, clean and really well-designed. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, we truly felt at home. Pyrgos is an authentic little village, less touristic and more intimate than other parts of the island. We wholeheartedly recommend Flora's House, can't wait to be back.

We got given a map and so much useful information about where is good to go and what to visit.
