Nothing - it's a gem of a place!

All staff are friendly and helpful. The location is so unique as is the property, nestled into the hillside and our apartment is carved out from the cave yet roomy and modern. Lovely touches like complimentary prosecco for the plunge pool, water and coffee, with slippers and robes provided. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Cool pool and bar area. The views are to die for. It is a wonderful spot to see the Santorini sunset. We had dinner in their restaurant, which was expensive but I can't fault the food or service. I'd recommend it and feel fortunate I got to experience a night here with my friends. Wow!

The setting was fantastic. We had our own small pool. The staff were incredible and lots of little extras( cold drinks on arrival while we checked in, escorted to our rooms, complimentary bubbles and water in our room, towels replaced during the day, sweet treats in our room at night ) made it special.

Front desk saff were polite and efficient, but did not go out of their way to make the stay extra special. The rest of the staff was great with very attentive service.

Esperas is out of the fray, yet still amid shopping and dining. The serene vibe and friendly staff made our stay perfect. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. Heaps of gratitude to the porters who carried our suitcases up and down myriad steps to and from the hotel!

1. Unexpected circumstances where the hotel announced late in the evening that the electricity power will be off from midnight till 7am, citing some local power issues. We were not happy but luckily the room we got was a cave room where it was not hot inside. Still breathable without AC and light. 2. Unclogged pipe in the master bathroom. We used the bathtub and when we let the water go it caused the flooding of water from another pipe from the floor. We think it was from the blocked pipe beneath the bathroom. So the whole bathroom was flooded. We had to stop it using towers and bathrobes. We solved it ourselves but not a pleasant experience Other than this everything was perfect

They should have a wet bar on the lower level where the kettle is; they need more shelving below the sink in the bath room so storage of bath items is not on the floor; they need more hangers for towels and bath robes; wine glasses would be great; make sure the coffee is replaced each day; otherwise the place is fantastic - these are small improvements

It is not something that we didn’t like but something that people must know before booking. They are many stairs to go down to the hotel and the rooms and if you want to go out for dinner at night, you would have to claim many steps to go up and walk about 10 mn to go to the heart of the village . Many steps in Santorini! Staff helps with suitcases!!!

The view is spectacular and the room offers great privacy. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

They could probably give a couple of water bottles, given the cost of room that’s not too much to ask. The price of the transfer to airport, may be offer a cheaper alternative?

Build, location and staff! Hospitality was the staff was great, also breakfast was very good, property is located in the best possible angle adding a lot of value due to its location for the reason you would visit oia. Very clear guidance from staff. They were also always ready to help with luggage and transportation.

Staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. In the morning after our arrival, a waiter told us we could order our welcome beverage, so we did. But, when the bill came with so stuff we ordered, we noticed we that beverage was charged and the waiter explained that because of the check-in time, that could be no longer provided. It would have been nice to know beforehand. That same waiter told us that the complimentary water could not be taken to the pool or the social area (which to us didn't make sense - water was give by the hotel, but we could not enjoy it outside). The hotel lacks anti-slip strips on the stairs. I once slipped and fell to the back, over my cellphone. Screen cover broke and nothing serious happened, THIS IS EXTREMELY NECESSARY FOR THE SAFETY OF THE GUESTS. This could have happened to an elder and the consequences would have been bad. These strips don't affect the architecture of the hotel at all and ensure safety. Mini-bar and restaurant prices were astronomical, so we always decided to got outside to have our meals and drinks.

Interaction prior to our arrival, even weeks before, was very good. The hotel is simply beautiful, located in the best part to enjoy the sunset. Rooms are the typical Santorini "caves", which set up the proper ambiance. The view to the see from the room and the social area in front was amazing. The option of getting to choose from different options to "assemble" our breakfast was quite a novelty. We arrived very late, at 2:00 a.m. at the hotel and even though, the staff was ready to take our suitcases from the parking lot and check us in. Having someone to take our luggage in and out, considering the slope and the amount of stairs, was very nice. The hotel provided complimentary water and typical Greek treats on a daily basis. The burger of the restaurant is a most try (regardless of the price)!

poor lightening in bathroom over the sink, limited orientation to property and surrounding area that seemed very rushed and impersonal at our check in, did not feel as welcomed, at check in, at this property as we did at other locations in other parts of Greece

This property was incredible. Between the views, the amenities, location and staff, it doesn’t get much better than Esperas. They upgraded our room free of charge and made our stay even more unforgettable. I’d highly recommend it to everyone.

lovely hotel and facilities were amazing. The restaurant has very good food. There was a power outage. lots of places were blacked out yet ours had a generator (we had lights). The sunset is wonderful and you can watch it from your balcony

The check-in process is a bit cumbersome, it requires you to select your breakfast menu ahead of time on an iPad with a poor user interface. If you have trouble going up and down stairs this is not for you.

There were a couple of really rude guests who were hassling the staff at breakfast, the staff did not deserve it.

The steep steps at times were a little much. Would like to have seen a separate restaurant area.

The staff always greets with a smile and friendly hello. Very eager to make us comfortable and help with anything to make our stay enjoyable. The were magnificent. Extra big shout out to two men at the pool bar and the men who helped with our suitcases. The food and drinks both for day by the pool and at the evening restaurant was very good. We will give the Esperas a very high rating on social media.
