There was nothing not to like regarding the apartments. The location of the resort however, might not suit everyone as it is at the bottom of a steep valley, so walking anywhere other than the beach or local tavernas requires a decent level of fitness.

Pretty much everything was perfect, and we had an amazing holiday. We booked 3 separate apartments for a family group holiday. The family who run the business were very helpful, showing us the best way to get to places, even giving us a lift to the nearest bus stop. Each apartment was cleaned daily. Air con was a huge plus, as it was VERY hot. 50m walk from the beach, lovely outside spaces with each apartment. A quiet holiday which suited us all.

The common area decoration was a bit out dated .

It was very spacious for a family , and as it was ground floor and protected by the sun during the heat wave the room temperature was cool. The bedroom was excellent decoration and air condition. The location was walking distance from the beach and the staff were very friendly .

nihil - a really small point of critic is that you hear the music from live concerts from the hotel but around midnight it stops... we are early birds going to sleep but this is a minor problem

Last year we stayed at the other side of the road so it was not so practical to reach the beach area. Dora appt. is located 100 m from the beach and tavernes. Dora welcomed us and it was so nice... she showed us the beautiful decorated appartement on the 2nd floor: more than that we could have expected; So clean and interior was well thought an gave relax feeling. Kitchen facilities behind closet doors: very practical. We didn't used it during our stay - only the fridge and nespresso machine. View from terrace on the beach is nice. Enough space for 2 persons. We still saw the damage of the waterflood from last October: there were no sunbeds and parasols anymore available next to Lygaria beach hotel. We used these last summer: it was a quiet and less crowded area. We presume this still needs to be built up. Therefore we went to swim in a more quiet place: fodele beach in front of the Dolphin taverne! recommend people to go there for swim and eat! We have had dinner at Sirocco and Kavourina. We choose accomodation for his location: 20 min from airport and easy to go to other villages like Fodele, Rethymnon. Anyhow the family run business is perfect. Eleftheria's parents are so nice and gave us a warm welcome. we come back!

Lost of mosquitoes, which obviously is not their fault, but it would be nice to have mosquito net on the balcony doors and/or windows because we couldn’t have any fresh air whole evening and night

Apartment was as beautiful as on the photos. I didn’t even realise there is small kitchen until we arrived, that was great. There was even hair shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Daily cleaning. Its really close to the beach. I suggest taking airport transport from them also, its cheaper than taxi. Owners are really nice and helpful, our room was ready early and when we were leaving, we could leave our bags at the reception, they even printed our boarding passes.

there is nothing we didn't like. just be mindful that good driving skills are needed to navigate the coastal roads.

family run apartments; hosts couldn't have been lovelier or more accommodating. Extremely clean and lovely balcony/terrace to eat privately. the location is perfect for an ultra relaxing beach holiday. breakfast served in the beautiful roof terrace was excellent and plentiful!

Really nice place. Close to the beach. Good location for day trips. The kitchen was well equipped. Space for parking right outside the building. Very nice shower! We had breakfast on two days and it was really good! Great view from the breakfast-terrace.

The apartments doesn’t have microwave which I don’t think is niece enough. I would stay at d apartment provided there is microwave.

We love the environment and apartment was very close to the beach. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

2 flights of stairs to my room with very heavy case was really difficult on my own. Balcony looked over a car park which was not very attractive but handy for parking. Some teabags would have been nice - it all felt a bit sparce. I didn’t like the location at all and moved a day early as the beach was pebbly and not what I was after at all.

Clean and tidy. Nice towels and sheets. Balcony with view to sea. Nice cup of tea on arrival. Good sized apartment with a kitchen area and a very nice shower room. Air conditioning was good and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning.
