Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Belgiumwould be nice to have a small breakfast area and a coffee maker in the room 😊
it is a perfect value money you do here, the staff is incredibly nice and there is a perfect wifi, a small desk to work and even if you can’t have a late leave, you have enough space to continue to work in their lobby, again perfect value for money 🙏👌

AustraliaIt met all of our needs for a short stay - no complaints at all.
This hotel was exactly what we expected - a budget style offer however what we didn't expect was the friendly staff, immaculately clean rooms, comfortable beds and its location to the Metro was excellent (1 min walk). We came for one night and checked in after midnight so to have someone who was efficient and friendly greet us after a long travel day after midnight was a bonus. The hotel also happily stored our luggage until we were transferring to our next destination in the afternoon.

FranceI think no need to change towels every single day, would be better for saving our planet. One in two days would be better :)
Super Nice location and price! Also very clean! People wrote that it’s bad area but if yo be honest it’s absolutely nice and safe comparing to Omonia, and metro right 1 min away!

Free toiletries and complimentary candy. Many mini markets nearby and the bar next door serves the best orange juice ever!

New ZealandThe single beds feel smaller than normal, my feet were hanging off the end and I'm only 6ft/183cm
The proximity to the train station was perfect for seeing all of Athens in a few days. It's a basic room but all you need, and the 24 hour reception and staff is great. Don't worry about others saying there's dodgy characters around, unless you pay a fortune to stay in central Athens that's just what the city is like, and if you don't pay them any attention there's nothing to worry about.

United KingdomSome of the side streets immediately adjacent to the hotel were littered with trash which let the area down. Also in the evenings there was numerous homeless people down these side streets also.
Panos was a superb member of staff, he recommended me all the best things to do and gave me a lot of advice on Athens in general. Also, the property was right next to a metro station which was convenient. The hotel room itself was spacious, comfy and overall good value for money.

JapanThe following are not major factors that detract from the rating. The shower room is very small, so use it with some ingenuity. I would not go outside during low-traffic hours. ∙ The noise from the bathroom in the next room is echoing.
Hotel Cosmos is a good value for money. The room with twin beds was spacious enough for one person. I was in the lobby from 11am to 12pm after check-out. The man at the front desk seemed very professional in his work.

GermanyUnfortunately sometimes comes really bad smell from the Toilet but it will be gone in 15 Minutes. I wouldnt recommend to walk around the hotel because the neighborhood seemed pretty dangerous and there were a lot of junkies and needles on the street. You should always take the metro to go somewhere. You can take the metro till really late hours so its fine. The view of the hotel was not the best
It was very clean and the room got everyday cleaned. The Cleaning lady was really nice and the staff was also kind and respectful. Receptionist was there 24/7. The Hotel is really close to metro like 2-3 Minutes and you can go to city center like in 10 Minutes. So location was really okay. There were also 2 mini markets in 20-30 meters.

AustraliaNothing, a few of the back streets are a bit seedy ..its not the fault of the hotel owners. Just take care in the area.

Some good restaurants close by and some in the back streets. Good staff ,very polite. Reasonable quietness at night and balcony for fresh air.
