There are no windows or views as it's a cave style house. Good value for money due to generous space and proximity to Oia.

It is necessary to inform beforehand the property of your arrival time as there is no reception. If you have informed them in advance, someone will be there to hand over the keys and explain house rules and surroundings. Very nice comfortable traditional cave style house (but not in actual cave), with ample space and about 10-15 min stroll to Oia.

Loved the cave apartment, was a unique experience. Had a nice rooftop terrace with views over the valley. Great couple of restaurants in the little village just minutes away. Oia is only 10 minutes walk away so you get to enjoy the madness but can then return to the sanctuary of this lovely accommodation.

The bus stop drops you off at the top (walk DOWN) of a confusing maze in order to get to the location. From Oia town, it's easier to find. It is about a 20 min walk to Oia, which surprised me, and you walk on the main road for a little bit. For a solo traveler, I didn't love the distance to the Oia town, but for couples or friends it'd be fine.

It was very clean, and they offered coffee, espresso, water. It is an interesting, unique room, and the shared terrace is nice (know that you can go in prior to getting your keys). The host was VERY communicative: quick and helpful on the Booking messaging app. Wifi was great, pillows were comfy. Host arranged a taxi pick up, and Mr. Nikos walked me to the lot, which was very helpful.

A very pitoresc stay. The village is very beautiful. Is a 20 minute walk from and to Oia . There are some beautiful restaunants nearby.

The staff were so lovely, our flight was delayed and we arrived close to 2am in the morning, but Nico came to greet us at the car park and took us back to the accommodation. They were so kind, told us about the area and gave us recommendations. They also were very generous with their complimentary snacks and drinks which I felt was very outstanding for a small place.

The fabulous view, close to some lovely restaurants, away from the crowds but close enough to walk into the main area of Oia. Niko was there to greet us when we arrived, with a smile and a helping hand to assist us with our luggage.

Everything was so perfect! Mr Nikos expected us at the parking area late in the evening and assisted us with the luggage :) The communication was very well, everyone is so friendly! I highly recommend Caves 1880 to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay :)

The property is pretty much in the center of a village, so you will have to walk a good bit from your parked car, up and down a few slopes.

The property is relatively clean and had typical hotel accommodations were all provided in the price.

Quiet location in Finikia, spacious room with good amenities. Eva and Niko were very helpful and helped us with bookings and keeping our bags before check in/ out. Ample coffee, tea and juice was provided in the room so that was a nice touch. Quite a walk to Oia under the hot sun but it was nice at night.

The greek traditional house was very confortable and fresh even without air conditioning, with coffee and courtesy drinks. The small kitchen has everything you can Need. Nice the terrace to enjoy the ocean view. Host are very nice and offer Daily room service. Nearby excellent possibility to enjoy greek meals.

15-20 mins walk from Oia, just a bit cold to walk at night in spring but during the day should be fine.

Nikos is very helpful, would always refill the free coffee capsules, milk and other complimentary items. He provided also free water and orange juice inside the fridge. The studio is complete with all you need like a home away from home. Within 2 mins walk away from restaurant and nearby supermarket. You could book an airport transfer through them which will only cost EUR 35 one way which is lower than Uber and other agency at the airport. Would love to stay again if I come back.

Perfect place to stay, about 15 minutes walking to the center of Oia. The room was clean, cleaning service every day. Nearby there are 3 good restaurants. We found, on the arrival, in the fridge a bottle of water and orange juice.

it is a bit remote and area is not very developed.

It is a bit outside and not on the side of the sea but very close to amazing restaurants. Rooms are spacious and very clean. It is definitely worth for money.

If you don’t rent a car, you can’t move around, as the local transport buses are very comfortable but their route is circular ,in one direction, and if uou want to go from Oia to Finikia you circle all the upper part of the island. Fortunately Nikos helped us and renting a car was not a problem.

The traditional house (studio) has its small yard, a terrace over the hous with sea view. Eva and Nikos were always very responsive. The kitchenette corner is very well equipped for breakfast.
