The rooftop restaurant waiters were not friendly or helpful & the prices were high for the quality of food

At the begininng, I was quite reluctant to book this hotel becuase the rating online was low. However, after checking-in, I immediately like the hotel. We have a old-fashioned, high-ceiling room facing ocean. The bed is comfortable, and bathtub is big and clean. We were so worried about parking suitation because Corfu old town was full of tourists, but staff allowed us to park right in front of the hotel. Next to Spianada Park and Old Fortress, the hotel is centrally located, yet is tugged away in a residental corner. It is very quiet in the evening. With its red carpet and traditional style furniture, the hotel may not look modern in the picture, but it is actually well-maintained. For its value, I highly recommend this hotel.

The roof top bar service was too formal, very old fashioned lay out, staff were very formal, not very chatty. Amazing setting and views.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was dated the shower head didn’t sit in the bracket the hairdryer didn’t work the plug sockets didn’t all work.

Location from port and for everything Old Corfu town, this hotel is excellent. Old fashioned, great service, lovely room overlooking the sea. Breakfast room very crowded as hotel was full, good selection. Best feature is rooftop terrace overlooking the Old Town and out to sea. Good menu & cocktails.

My first floor room was on 2 levels - with bed on an upper platform, so best to check if you find stairs a bit tricky (as I did)

It’s a historic hotel that was starting to looking a bit tired. Our room was split level with steep stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom on a mezzanine floor. The balustrade on the mezzanine level was uncomfortably low.

The breakfast was standard anonymous hotel fare. No complaints but would have preferred more of a Mediterranean breakfast with fresh fruits and salads. And some good quality bread.

The breakfast didn't quite meet our expectation Though there was a big range of food, the quality was mediocre in comparison to where we had stayed before. The roof top restaurant is stunning, but the choice of food was not so good and the prices relatively high.

The view is stunning! The location could hardly be better, if one likes a bit of buzzing town life. The atmosphere of the hotel was like in old times - we loved it as we spent a couple of days of our honeymoon here. Our room had a perfect size and was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area felt safe and all the town attractions are in walking distance.

I asked certain facilities for my disabled aged mother, but we got a room with a step to the bathroom and as it came out the room we got was the only with the lowest step.

We were given a room with a view for one night and later we got changed to a room with no view.

food for breakfast was cold on the first morning and just warm on the second, rooftop restaurant was closed and we weren't aware of this.

A shower over a bathtub is a bit awkward for older patrons. The rooftop terrace was closed on the occasion of our last stay because the tourist season hadn’t started and the weather on some days was inclement. We could have asked for it to be opened.

This hotel was beautifully decorated in a classic English manner by the original owners, a brother and sister. They had style! Thus it is a little dated in terms of colours but as it is immaculately maintained and cleaned it is still in very good nick. The hotel has been made into a Foundation so the proceeds benefit various charities on Corfu. The staff were very helpful. There is a roof top terrace with great views.

Shower needed a holder up high as you needed to hold shower head with one hand and wash with other. Although roof terrace was not open and room didn't have balcony if you had been ou and just wanted to sit outside the terrace was not available so you had to walk over road and find a park bench.
