Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI couldn't work out how to make a coffee at the breakfast area and there was no staff around. But not big deal really. On the other hand I had lots of bread and fruit and other things available that served for breakfast and lunch at the beach, very grateful!
I had an overall very good experience. It was low season still and therefore it wasn't busy at all. Haven't met other guest at breakfast and I've barely seen anyone around. I was looking for quietness and I found it. Very glad. Room was good, lovely bathroom, comfy bed and cute balcony.

CanadaThe only thing we didnt like is the water glass they have in the bathroom which we think should be change to something newer.
We like the location it was very close to the beach, restaurants, bus stop and markets as we were 3 family travelling together. We chose to stay in Akrotiri as we like to be away from the crowded location. Raphael who checked us in, helped us a lot with booking tours as well which was a very good idea since we are only there for 2 nights. Eva the mom was very kind and hospitable.. gave us some donuts before we checked out and showed me her family album. She was a proud mother of 3. It was a family run business. Overall we defenitely recommend the place for a nice relax atmosphere vacation for a big group like us.

United KingdomJust would of been nice to have a pool to relax round but honestly with the sea not that far it was not a major problem. We were out sightseeing most of our five day stay anyway.
Amazing family run hotel. No frills just lovely little family run hotel with lots of help when needed.

New ZealandIt is further out of all the main areas of Santorini but up to you if that is a good or bad thing, we didn't mind catching the bus. The bathroom gets a bit soaked when having a shower/not many hooks etc to put things.
Staff were friendly and it was in a more quiet town on Santorini which was nice. You must go to Punta Castelli for a meal if you stay here! The local bus stops just down the road which is handy and there is a beach in walking distance.

United KingdomNoisy air con but can't be helped.
Great location in Akrotiri. Just one night (10 hours actually) between flying in and ferry out en route to Syros. Raphael welcoming and efficient even at midnight arrival. Basic bargain breakfast at 5€ more than adequate considering one coffee at the port was 4.90€....

United KingdomBathroom was tiny we didn’t need to shower that day so it was ok
Free parking on site, v friendly service, great value breakfast and quiet location all bonuses. The place is affordable for most and simple but has comfortable beds and good blackout blinds with the shutters. Room is what you pay for, not bad but not amazing . We were happy with our stay and liked the cheaper location of it. As you go up the island the prices climb

South AfricaUnfortunately the beds were too hard for our comfort.....perhaps one can request a room with more comfortable beds.
We loved the location and the local feel of the accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were within walking distance of a bus stop, supermarket and restaurants. Our room had a lovely little balcony which we enjoyed. The breakfast was lovely and very reasonable.

Eva was wonderful and very attentive to all her guests. Her breakfast for 5 euros was good with endless tea and coffee, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and a selection of breads and cake. Great location just above the village and walking distance to beaches on both sides of the penninsula

I used this as an overnight stay on my way to Amorgas. I had a bed room all to myself. large! I asked the owner where I should eat, of course, I should eat at the restaurant owned by her sister. and it was wonderful, small, properly Greek food mmmmm. so good I went back for a snack on my way to the ferry, I didn’t use the menu, just said I only have 30 minutes and I’d like fish and wine. again excellent. had I not asked I would have had to eat in a large, very noisy restaurant, the only other I could see. only staying 18 hours I can’t say much more about the hotel, I was asleep. but family run, I think I would have liked it

IrelandThe windowless bathroom (no extractor fan either) got a bit fetid and there was a permanent puddle on the floor. But it was perfectly clean and the shower worked well so all in all a very minor problem.
Lovely hosts who organised airport pickups and drop offs etc. Comfortable bed in a spacious room with a little balcony. Quiet but just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town, restaurants etc. Fabulous all you can eat breakfasts!
