The steps are often packed with tourists trying to take photos with the blue domes, which is a little irritating when you’re just trying to get to your villa and the AC, but not the fault of the villa owners. That’s the price you pay for the view!

Right in the heart of Oia with excellent views over the caldera and of the blue domes. Clean, comfortable villa. The location requires many, many steps to get down to, and of course back up to the village each time to leave and eat or go on excursions.

It has great location but need to walk for quite a bit to reach the property with tons of stairs. Not a very big luggage friendly place, but it is understandable due to the nature of the Oia landscape

Location, location, location!! The staff including Mary were really awesome. The place was new and very clean. Do not hesitate to book!!

The location could not be better. It was perfect. The view was unbelievable. Each time we left the villa, there were huge lines of people way above us just waiting to get a picture of what we could see from the villa! It was super quiet and peaceful. The location was the best anywhere!!!

We had the most amazing stay at the Big Blue Villa by Caldera Houses. The Villa is absolutely stunning and perfect for a group of four people like we were. Firstly the villa itself was located in the most perfect place - you had the amazing ocean view on one side and the charming buildings of Santorini on the other side which resulted in a lot of pictures. Another big plus was the stillness and privacy from other tourists. We were located in a private area where we could explore without having to worry about the crowds. Secondly the breakfast was so good!! We were looking forward to it every morning as it was a variation of delicious things every time. We loved it! Mary and her colleagues were very helpful and available at any time if we needed anything. This was highly appreciated by us and we could not have been more content with them. The cleaning staff were also lovely and did a very good job whenever we needed cleaning. Overall this whole experience went beyond all expectations and we will definitely go back! I would 100% recommend this villa to everyone!

The location is wonderful with incredible photo ops….which means you may have to elbow tourists out of your way as you make your way down to the property. Many of them blatantly ignore the ropes/gates set up for the properties down the hill. There was even a cruise tour guide bringing a group down past the gate when I got back from my hike. NOT the property’s fault, just something to consider. I also did not expect to have such close neighbors to the bedroom patio (which was essentially a shared balcony with a curtain type divider), mine were very loud. But did quiet down evebtuskly. Oia in general means great views but crowds BECAUSE you’re living on top of one another! Happy problem. 🙂

The location and overall atmosphere of the property was simply mesmerizing. Communication from the management was just wonderful, they were available on demand, and every text was answered. The breakfast was lovely to have outside my door in the morning, and I literally sat in the outdoor tub for hours on end, wine glass in hand, just enjoying the amazing view. Despite a few little quirks, this place is simply magical and (while I hate to say this as I hope the price doesn’t increase) it’s worth every penny.

The breakfast is almost the same every day so could be improved by having more options and varieties. I understand it's already arranged with a local baker but could be more flexible especially for families with children. :)

The villa is situated right in the heart of Oia with the most amazing view of the caldera and the blue domes and the famous sunset just on the horizon. One could easily stay here all day and relax and just soak in the beauty of Santorini from the heated jacuzzi or you can watch the world go by and have the slowest day to just be present with your loved one(s) and be mindful of the world around you. We celebrated my 40th birthday there with my wife and child and we had the most memorable stay! The villa is very tidy and has everything you need---wifi, kitchen essentials, towels, blankets, hairdryer, and bathroom essentials. The shops and the restaurants are just within the next 5-to minute walk from the villa. Mary was super helpful and always available to us and answered all our questions and helped us arrange for the experiences and things we wanted to happen during our stay.

We booked this place for our honeymoon trip, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Fantastic location and very romantic ambiance topped off with lovely jacuzzi tub. Almost everything defines the magic of Santorini can be seen from the window and the patio and the deal here is that you can take as many pics as you wish all for yourself without waiting for crowds. The hostess Mary offered us fantastic choices for dinner and was always there for help and assistance.

There were many ants inside the room. It was unconfortable and disgusting. And we could not choose breakfast time and menu. Completely the same menu everyday. Services and facilities are not proportional to price.
