Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceFrom our balcony located at the 3rd floor, we had a great view of Tolo and the sea. The breakfast was great: melon, watermelon, salads, baked sweets, eggs, tea, etc. The pool was clean and nice. There were games around it: chess, air hockey and fosball. Also a couple of showers. The staff was nice. First day we had a problem. They gave us a room which had a broken roof in the balcony so the full sun was coming to our room making it very hot. We complained and they put an umbrella in the balcony which worked fine to eliminate this issue. Everyday we had the bed made and the room cleaned, with the towels changed if we needed so. The cleaning staff was very good.

NetherlandsNothing really. We could choose two renovated rooms but chose a non-renovates family room. It was a little older with squeeking doors and not so luxurlous bathrooms but we were ok with it.
Friendlyness and generosity of personnell. Hotel was fully booked but has a very quiet atmosphere. Never crowded at the pool, very relaxed. Rooms have airconditioning. Breakfast is nice. Just a good regular hotel.

SerbiaThere were problems with the WiFi signal in our room. We spent 9 days at the hotel and, during the first half of our stay, it was not stable and got interrupted a lot. In the second half of our stay, my mobile phone couldn't connect to the Internet at all. Several complaints I made to the reception desk led to some improvement after 3 days, but then the signal got lost again and never came back. My wife had better luck, though, with a solid WiFi connection on her mobile phone throughout our stay, with some interruptions. The artificial lighting in the room was very dim.
The hotel is excellently located in a quiet neighbourhood above the main street in Tolo. The centre can be reached in literally 2 minutes by taking a small path that leads from the hotel parking (in another 2 minutes, you are on the beach). The way back is uphill, but it was not difficult even for a couple in their 50s such as we are. We asked for a quiet room, with nice sea views, and our wish was fulfilled - we were given a tastefully renovated, spacious room on the third floor, with a large terrace and great views of the sea, the swimming pool and the new part of Tolo. The room had a rather big bathroom with a great shower cabin and a small window for airing and natural light. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. One of the hotel COVID protection measures is that you need to ask for room cleaning in advance - we did that immediately after checking in and there were no problems with the way it worked. The AC in our room worked perfectly (and it was so hot during our stay it needed to be on whenever we were in). Breakfast is a standard buffet one with a nice addition of some Greek specialties. The COVID protection measures are being strictly observed at breakfast. The hotel itself is designed in a way that will reduce any COVID anxiety you may have - there is a semi-open stairway leading to the reception desk, the breakfast room and the pool, with big windows, while another one, taking you directly to the parking lot, is covered but otherwise open (so is the corridor from which you enter the rooms). The hotel has an elevator though, which is quite convenient for carrying the luggage. A private parking place is secured. The swimming pool is of a great size for a hotel (app. 12-13x6-7m), with shallow and deep ends. The water is perfectly clean and warm. There is also a small bar for refreshments. The pool area was never crowded - we were the only ones there most of the time. All in all, the hotel offers great value for money. Highly recommended!

GreeceNot enough parking spaces (hotel states that there is available parking space when you book a room), the receptionist tried very hard to find me one (not official hotel parking space) after almost 15 minutes discussion, bathroom faucet was noisy (especially at night), air condition was really noisy, there wasn't any bottle of water (even a small one) in the fridge (i was 2o clock in the morning at reception asking for water) . Asteria hotel holds a 4 star rate, all the above are not acceptable even for a single night stay.
Location, staff politeness, room and bathroom was really clean.

GreeceThe hotel needs renovation some parts are renovated but not all. Not so clean. Carpets are still on staircases. Breakfast needs improvement. Tolo could be a better tourist village.
Beds were comfortable. Nice view as the hotel is on a hill. People working in the hotel are friendly mostly young kids are working there. Swimming pool. Very nice sandy beach close by.

United KingdomWe were promised a sea view room but were given the complete opposite, this was a bummer. Asked the receptionist if we could move to a another room which would have what we paid for (sea view) but was told none were available with a big smile, and that all had been pre-booked weeks before (which was very weird since we booked ours a month prior, and specifically asked in a message for a sea view and also a picture of the rooms view which we never got). We were told to “enjoy the outdoors and go out” (which is not what you say to a customer complaining they didn’t get what they paid for). The breakfast was such a let down. I know a lot of reviews here rate it well, but I don’t know why? Concentrated orange juice and vaporised milk (definitely not fresh milk). It was just not the Greek breakfast you would expect. Out of a weeks stay, had only two days of breakfast in the hotel. Pool/Bar hours not well suited. Reason for booking a hotel with a pool/bar is that you have it accessible a bit longer during the day. Asked the receptionist if we could use it a bit longer but again, with a smile was told no. Room Safe! I don’t know how to stress this enough, 2021! Which hotels don’t have a room safe please tell me? That was a pain. They have a safe in the reception but again NO room safe. T.V. Was as small as an iPad on the wall, but again going there to be enjoying the outdoors (as we were told). Bad review for Booking.com for not informing us of the day tax needed to be paid on the day upon leaving the hotel. Wouldn’t book again for the price paid.
The location was not so bad, for a choice of “near the beach and not at the beachfront” it’s not a long walk. I would say maybe 10 min walk to the beachfront. Has a bit of a steep hill, but manageable. The pool bar waitress was lovely, very kind and professional. Always with a smile on her face and not the “I can’t be bothered to help you”smile.
