We stayed in the Patari Suite for 4 nights with our two boys (ages 15 and 11) and we all thought our stay at Aris Caves was one of the highlights of our trip! The kids loved the cave house experience, and the view from our private balcony overlooking the caldera was incredible. The place was extremely clean and very spacious (much bigger than we expected!) for our family of four. A friendly porter met us when we arrived in Oia and carried our bags to the hotel. When we got there, we were greeted by the owner Christina, who was very friendly and gave us the keys and a quick tour of the apartment. We loved the thoughtful and personal touches in the apartment, such as the bottle of olive oil in the kitchen which was homemade by Christina's family, and the small, delicious cakes from her sister's bakery. The whole complex is extremely well-maintained and it is obvious how much love and care she has for her family's business. The location of the apartment is fabulous! It is located just a flight of steps away from the main walkway in Oia, close to all of the shops and restaurants. It was the ideal base for us to explore the city. Thank you Christina, Eva, and all of your staff for providing us with a fantastic and unforgettable stay! We can't recommend your hotel enough!

It’s a pity they didn’t have, even just bottled water available to buy at reception. We had to go to the small supermarket every day to buy about 4 litres of water. Our flight was very late the day we left, and check out was early, would have been nice to have a room available to shower and freshen up before we left.

The location and views are absolutely stunning. The cave house was beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean.

We would book a room with a plunge pool next time as it was quite hot during the time of our stay.

It was a fabulous stay, the view was breathtaking, the rooms were spacious and clean, the kitchen facilities were modern and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

In hindsight we wished we had booked an apartment with a pool (not a dislike).

From when we landed we were greeted by our porter who helped with our luggage. Christina kindly waited to meet us despite our flight been delayed. Both Christina & Eva couldn't have been more helpful throughout the week helping with making bookings including boat tour, wine tasting etc. Our apartment was great with some lovely treats on arrival including a local wine and a lovely cake from Christina's sisters shop in Imerovigli (highly recommend making a trip for brunch). Apartment was cleaned each day. Good WiFi speed & air conditioning available. Location was very central to access all amenities. Overall, a great place to stay.

All the steps - though that is unavoidable to get the view. And the porter was amazing and took our bags up and down! Also the sunset is just out of view. The caldera lights up with gorgeous colors but the actual sun is not visible from this location.

Christina is a superb host - incredibly friendly and helpful, and quick to respond to queries. We were given some lovely treats on arrival, including cake from Christina’s sister’s bakery - one of the best we’ve ever had - as well as recommendations for restaurants across the island. The studio was comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. The location was perfect with amazing views and peaceful while being right by the main street. Would highly recommend!

Aris Caves has a central location but is also private and peaceful. The view is spectacular. The Patari suite was perfect and spacious for our family of 5. The a/c worked well, there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure, and the beds were comfortable. The suite and the whole property were spotless. We used our hot tub every day (which was the perfect temperature for the time of year we visited - June.) The steps didn’t bother me (rather, made me feel I had earned all the amazing food I was eating.) I was sad to leave!

Perhaps a sign in the bathroom to remind people not to flush the toilet paper down the toilet :/ It's easy to forget in the morning when you've just woken up if you're not used to doing that!

We had such a wonderful time at Aris Caves when we were in Santorini last month. Christina was an excellent host—very friendly and helpful. The location was incredible. Just far enough away from the main walkway through Oia to be nice and quiet, but it's about a 1-2 minute walk up there. Bear in mind, it is down quite a few stairs so perhaps not ideal for those who struggle to walk, but that's the Santorini way! The suite itself (we had the largest one) was perfect. The traditional cave interiors, exposed stone and lovely terrace area with hot tub made for a quintessential Santorini experience. Highly, highly recommend.

I woke up on the first morning and was met by the most fabulous view from our private terrace. The views remained fantastic, varying throughout the day as the light changed. In addition to the private terrace there was a beautiful common seating area under a hige parasol with very comfprtable seats.

We, 2 adults with 2 teenage kids, stayed for 3 nights in a beautiful Aris Caves apartment, which exceeded our expectations. Starting with the very warm welcome of our host Christina, the wine and cake she surprised us with, the great layout and design of the apartment, and last but not least the fantastic view over the caldera from our own terrace with jacuzzi. It has been a dream and the only thing I could complain about is, that we couldn't stay longer. We can highly recommend this property. Thanks so much, Christina.

Hard to find anything bad about the property. Maybe one opportunity to make it ideal is to add some privacy to the jacuzzi who is located right outside the room, offers fantastic views of the water but can be seen from neighboring properties above

Amazing location and views of the water. The welcoming by Christine was exceptional, she is so friendly and communicative, she also stuffed the refrigerator with some goodies that were free of charge! We loved the closeness to the most beautiful parts of Oia and also the free exercise :-) going up and down the stairs to the room.

What a marvellous experience over 5 days early oct 2021, in the exceptional Aris cave overlooking the Aegean in Oia, with a jacuzzi over a bright full moon night. Waking up to a view that takes your breath away, atop a cliff. Christina our host, was gracious informative and made our stay a little more special. Building a friendship with the host personalises the whole experience and adds that little touch of warmth and we felt like friends staying over. No worries lugging the suitcases up the 120 steps as our porter takes care of that, God bless him, don't know how he juggles the 2 weighty suitcases at the same time, definitely deserved the fat tip. visit to fira is a must , with clifftop walk to imerovigli, is delightful. our visit to open air cinema at kamari Dune was brilliant, worth it. Ambrosia restaurant is a must for fine dining, which we did to celebrate our anniversary. All in all terrific stay and we will certainly be back.
