Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very nice hosts, the room was spacious and light, and comfortable beds. The kitchenette included all necessary equipment, we only missed wine glasses. The room was cleaned every day including the changing of towels. Everything was perfect!

United KingdomThe rooms are basic but that is what you pay for and are still lovely
The property was in a great location, with all the amenities that you will need! Everything was clean and the rooms were cleaned every day. The staff were just lovely and would do anything for you. The wife at the property would give us some lovely snacks and they would always offer drinks if we were sitting by the pool.

Greece now seems surreal. It was a beautiful adventure for three generations of lovely, amazing women. The whole week was an unforgettable experience that will be cherished for a lifetime! On Sunday, my sister awoke to the church bells and the Pappas chanting. This continued for two whole hours from the town square. She chose to hike to the smaller chapel, Panagia Katefiani. “The church was built between 1537 and 1650. It was built on the side of the Mesa Vouno mountain at an altitude of 200 metres. This allowed the building to withstand the attacks of pirates and invaders and survive until the present day.” -from Santorini-more.com Waking up to the bell tolls and chanting from the chapel Sunday was the most heavenly sound. Before our last dinner in Perissa, my mother spent time “talking” with our host as she gave her a tour of her beautiful garden. They at one point started to use a tablet to better converse. Lavender, rosemary, oregano, hibiscus, pomegranates, and many other lovely things that she nurtured grew there outside the villas. Upon us leaving, she gifted us with herbs from her garden.

CanadaI LOVED 😍 everything from the staff, accommodation, location, etc. the owners were pure love always greeting with a smile, with the wife providing me with Greek cakes and savoury baked goods to try. The owner is very kind, he explained everything to me on the first day (they even printed a map of Santorini to show me places I can check out) and the couple stayed up till late in the evening past 10 PM to wait for me to check in 🥰. They even filled my fridge with water so I had something to drink. Their son Jacob was amazing in communicating with me before and during my stay. I had to catch a ferry to Milos when I left and needed to print my pass, and Jacob was prompt in assisting me, making my stay and travel comfortable and stress free 🙏🏽 I had my ferry departing at 3pm and had to check out at 11am, the owners were so nice that they invited me to stay by the pool and relax till my ferry leaves. This family is truly a blessing and I would definitely stay here whenever I'm in Santorini. If your traveling alone, with friends, or family this is where you need to book. Trust me! ❤️ Also the bus is literally a 2-3 min walk, the bakery is around the corner and is open till midnight, the restaurants are open till 11pm, there are various rentals from atvs, buggy's, and electric bikes (highly recommended - check out exo experience). I rented an e-bike for $10 euro and saw Perissa Beach, Caldera view, red beach/Akratiri and the heart of Santorini all within 6-hrs. I also got to see Oia (check out around 7-8pm for sunset), Fira, the volcano, hot springs, and saw another island called Thirassia - you can do this for $30 euro 6-hrs tour guide. If you want to go into Fira it's super easy there is a timetable at the bus stop with the departing times which are frequent and run early until 11pm at night. It costs $2.5 euros, and from their you can get your connecting bus(s). I was in Santorini from May 20-24 and wish I stayed longer.

RomaniaThe windows are very noisy at night if the wind is persistent. For someone that is sensitive at noises it is quite hard to fall asleep.
We liked very much the view from the balcony, which is fantastic. The host are a very well trained couple that does the most they can for the guests. They even explain to you clearly what you can do on the island and that is not something that every host does. They speak very good english, which is satisfying. We came after a vacation in Spain and we really appreciate the fact that they speak english. We even had a little problem, I thought, which was that I lost something precious to me and I thought that someone stole it, but it was me who lost it. I explained to the host what I thought it happened and they were really kind and helpful. I am still so sorry for that sir, if you read this. I wish them the best and you should visit them for sure.

CanadaAll was great for our one night stay
We decided last minute to take the ferry from Paros over to Santorini and enjoy Perissa for an evening as I had visited this area years ago, before spending a few hours wandering in Fila. We were able to book a room here on short notice which was terrific. Owners are super, hotel is a smaller quaint well kept hotel, complete with a pool, near stores and near the beach. Also, the hotel is a short walk to the bus station which we took to return to Fila. This is exactly what we were looking for so, although we only stayed overnight, were very happy with our stay and would definitely book here again.

United KingdomWe wouldn't say we didn't like anything however, this apartment did not come with a washing machine, oven or toaster so making food if your looking to do a lot of home cooked meals may be difficult but a portable stove is given. A laundrette is also available down the road but is a bit pricey so these may be things to keep in mind, but we managed for 2 weeks without these and made do of what we had.
We couldn't fault our stay at ARETOUSA Villa , We arrived to the owners helping us with our luggage and giving us refreshments and a chat about our travel there and about the area before walking us to our room, he really took his time to make sure we were comfortable and happy and reassured us that he was always there if we needed him for anything. All the staff were more than helpful, the villa got cleaned everyday by a lovely lady and the Villa owners went above and beyond to help with any queries or destinations we wanted to visit , we always received a friendly welcome too. Walking distance to supermarket, beach, restaurant's that offer all sorts of different foods and goes on for miles! beach bars too and bakery just down the road! the nearest bus stop is also just down the road that takes you all over the island. which was only 2.20 euros each to visit the capital (Fira) which is a stunning place especially at sunset, definitely worth a visit. We stayed for 2 weeks and could not put into words how much we enjoyed, they also offer breakfast in the morning between the hours of 8am and 10am which is convenient for anyone heading out for the day which includes an array of different things. The pool is very private and well maintained with a view of a palm tree and mountain. It is close enough to the town but a very peaceful place to stay. We both highly recommend staying at Aretousa villas, we believe you wont be leaving disappointed :)
