Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI was traveling with my teenagers so accessibility was not an issue but anyone who has trouble with inclines or steps should do further research. The views made the extra exercise totally worth it for us!
The location was AMAZING!!! Very close to the Fira center with all the shops. Access to the private terrace to get professional quality sunset pictures made the room rate a bargain. I was able to take a couple of my son's senior pictures up there!

The amazing sunset view of the Caldera from the private Terrace. The coffee machine and room downstairs to relax in and the lovely and helpful Greek owner.

United StatesThe bedroom in Kallisti room is up a steep stair/ladder. It could be an issue for some people (not us). Very spacious bedroom though!
Family owned for many years! The owner is a fascinating man, very nice to talk with, very happy to help! The location is superb, especially from the roof top terrace, people do NOT line up in front of you at sunset. Quiet as it sits back off the path. Also a beautiful gated patio area just out our door. People walked by, but we felt rather priveledged. Right near Agia Minas church, a great landmark for helping to find your way. Highly recommend this place!

United KingdomI really couldn't fault anything about this property - everything was well maintained throughout.
The location of this property is superb. Right on the caldera edge so there are a few steps to reach the property. The owner met us at the top and guided us down and helped us with suitcases.

United StatesNo complaints! But be aware that the jacuzzi won’t be heated to a hot temperature - more of a dip pool that is kept warm enough to be very pleasant during the day but was a little chilly after the sun dropped and the wind picked up. (We were there late May - this is likely not an issue in the heat of summer) The owner put a cover on it overnight after we asked him about it the first evening to help it get a little warmer. He lives in a unit on the property and is very helpful!
Beautiful suite!! Location has one of the best views on the island. Stayed in the unit that has a private deck and jacuzzi. Complete bliss.

United KingdomThe room upstairs is up very steep stairs almost the angle of a ladder which was fine if you took care but just be aware if anyone in the party can't manage this.
Amazing view from the suite and the upper rooms window. The terrace is accessed from up the path with a separate door and the views from it are spectacular. The Agios Minas church roof is just to one side so even from the other side of Santorini you can see the terrace. The owner Vasilis was very nice and accommodating and it was extremely clean. There is a little Nespresso machine and a kettle fridge and cups plate glasses etc plus washing up liquid. No means to heat anything but enough to have breakfast on the terrace and make lunch for excursions. Lovely spacious top room. Black out shutters worked and bed super comfy.

SwedenThe suites are on a cliff, it will be very windy and cold sometime. Also, due to its beautiful view, tourists stay there and take selfies very often. Keep this in mind if you prefer being alone and quiet. Room heating and hot shower are available, but it works a little different from what you usually have in continent. This is not a complain, after all you can not expect too much when you stay on a small populated island.
The location is very good, it is very close to the central entertainment area, full of restaurants, bars, and stores. The balcony view is great also, you can have a very good view of the sea, volcano, and sunset. The host couple are very nice to us! We placed our luggages there before 3pm, which is the usual checkin time, and left them there also after we had checked out, it was very nice, one less thing to worry about when you try to travel a lot. But please do not take it as grant, since our trip and stay took place in April, when there were not too many tourists yet. High season would be another story.

United KingdomWe loved everything. The location is unique with a full panoramic view of the island, caldera view and amazing sunset view from the beautiful terrace with sun chairs (without having to go anywhere) with the iconic church in the background. The location is conveniently located close to supermarkets, Fira bus stops and restaurants. The host is very helpful. He organized our pick up and drop from the airport and arranged for the bell boy help with the luggage. In short, this is the best place to stay in Santorini. Can't have asked for anything else.

IrelandThe shower area needed a curtain or separator. Stair to top section is bit scary; expected bit more convenient one. The access to terrace is from outside .. we had to go via public road.
Location was spot on, just fabulous. Terrace area is outstanding. The view from terrace is mind-blowing. The owner was friendly and approachable.

Trinidad and TobagoWifi was spotty but we understood that that is Santorini and Greece in general. The owners live in the unit next door and on the good side are pleasant and readily available to help with anything. On the lightly negative side they are always there as you open your door. If you like privacy and want to open your doors and enjoy the view at the same time ..... Would have liked somewhere in the bathroom to put toiletries etc.
The location was perfect - near to bus station, super market, pick up point for tours and off course the best location for the view of the caldera and people watching. From the hotel you can see the cruise ships coming in and the passengers disembarking and making their way to the top. The rooftop deck was gorgeous and a bonus although in the mornings and evenings it was windy and chilly ( in September) and during the day the sun is blazing down. If you are more tolerant of hot sun and chilly winds you would enjoy that area and the lovely hot tub.

United KingdomThe bed was very hard, and uncomfortable - I feel a good quality mattress topper would have prevented the hardness.
The property was perfect, the location was amazing and the view from the terrace is stunning! The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor and is beautiful, although accessed via a ladder we had no issue with this. The view from the bedroom window was exceptional. The apartment was pristine clean.

Fabulous stylish duplex apartment with a roof top sun deck and truly amazing sea and caldera views. Easy walk into town. Dont be put off about steps. We got off ferry. Caught local bus( right next to ferry )for about 2euro. Drops you at bus station Fira. From there we google mapped Archontiki Suites. 15 mins gentle uphill walk with some steps and we were there. I have a knee problem and I did it and it was worth it. Because of pedestrianised location taxis cannot get to the door. I fully recommend.
