Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomYou can get a sea view room for the same money if you are staying longer. The steps up to the rooms are getting harder as I get older .
We have stayed at the Arant a few times when transit to and from Lipsi .it is close to the port to hop across to kalymnos for the katmaran .

That aside the staff were excelant, room was very conviently located at the harbour and it was clean and tidy. stayed one night as arrived after the last ferry.

United KingdomBasic room and facilities but exactly what we needed for a one night stay before taking the ferry to Kalymnos in the morning. It's located right in front of the port so it's very convenient and there are plenty of restaurants around too.

United KingdomThe plug for the air con and fridge is the same and can only use one at once? We managed fine however. Doors can be noisy at night on the corridor, again though not major issue
The property is in an excellent location, in the heart of small and friendly Mastichari. A minute from shops, beach, bar, restaurant. For the type of hotel, the rooms were quite large and v clean, with a good shower, air con and 2 large single beds together, typical of Greece. The staff whom we spoke to also, were very accommodating, friendly and reacted really well to a small mix up regarding keys. Communication from pre arrival and arriving (we arrived late due to a late flight and subsequent wait for taxis etc) was excellent!

United KingdomThe bed was so hard and the pillows were the same. If you need any degree of softness to mattress or pillow this is not the place for you. Having said that everything was clean. No fridge and AC didn’t appear to have a remote control or even be plugged in
The location was great for the port and as we arrived in the middle of the night it was great to be able to go to a bar and grab a drink. Quite central location and clean room.

United StatesOverall, it is not worth the money for the stay (EUR 50). The room is too simple, with two single beds (no choice for a double bed) which for me, as a tall person, were small. The shower is on the floor, no curtains and they do not offer any amenities (shampoo, shower gel). There's a kettle with cups and glasses, but neither coffee nor water is offered. The beds are a bit old, as seen from the wall on the head of the bed, which has a radio (??). I needed a room for a night before my flight, and for that, it was okay but could have been circa EUR 30/night to say it's worth it.
The location was very nice, right next to the beach which has some cool beach cafe bars. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they suggested I order a taxi and did that for me

United KingdomThe location of the property is amazing , just a couple of minutes from the port , great if you need to catch an early ferry. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive, ( we asked for a mosquito repellent and he brought it in minutes). We only stayed one night but as we left in a hurry in the morning we forgot a few of our things. He let us know as soon as he found them and went the extra mile to send them to Kalymnos (a neighbouring island) where we were. We literally have no words , greek hospitality in all its glory.
