Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing.
Everything. Good powerful shower, comfy bed, quiet, aircon, very kind and helpful staff. Dimitri and his wife are lovely and he and the staff were so helpful. Clean linen every day and the whole place had everything we needed. Good location near bus station and shops and the bustle of Fira but not so close that we heard any noise. The internet was also good. Lovely quiet pool that most of the time we almost had to ourselves. Well done to you all - a good example of people who have got it right!

United KingdomThe road outside is a problem if you want peace and quiet... the traffic just goes on and on! Then there is the coach park opposite which is a bit noisy but it's the dust that comes from it that is a real problem and one of the reasons I didn't use the pool or open my window on that side. Less of a problem were the wooden shutters, which look lovely but are a bit of a nuisance on the doors and windows as they swing about a bit and can't be clipped in place (I know it seems trivial but just giving feedback) but they do give much-needed darkness at night. However, the lit-up fire "Exit" light above the door kills that a bit! Is that really needed? Slightly noisy fridge making fridge noises through the night.
It is in a great location for Fira and has good access to other areas. The room was nice with double aspect windows for two sides and a great balcony. Although that was a touch overlooked by anybody walking up the outside stairs. Loads of parking outside. Great views all around, sea, mountains and town. Comfortable and clean. Nice looking pool area although I didn't use it.

Perfect location 5min walk from centre and 3min from bus station. We stayed 1 night after landing waiting for a boat the next day. Friendly staff was waiting for us while we were 1h late from Athens due to heavy winds on the islands (it was 23:00+) Very comfortable bed!

United StatesNothing about the property but if you are on foot just be careful crossing the street to get to the main area with the cars driving back and forth.
We had a great stay. The owners and staff were always there if we needed anything. We had questions and they answered them. They even helped us with a car rental and photography company. The rooms had everything we need for a comfortable sleep. Walking distance to Fira and the bus stop. The best part was the sunrise from the patio of our room. You can see a beautiful sunrise from the property. We were truly happy with our stay.

United KingdomNothing!
Such a lovely little stay in a perfect family-run apartment, just a 5-minute walk to all of the restaurants and shops, perfect for a short stay. The room was lovely, it's basic, but has everything you need, cleaned daily, and has a lovely outdoor area (room 5). The pool is fab. We'll definitely be back!

United StatesWe were looking for a place close to the central bus station on Santorini. We got it. Our room was comfortable, functional, and close to transportation. WiFi - not so reliable, but adequate. Pool - adequate, but close to traffic and little shade for most of the day. Clean, pleasant staff. If you don't care about having a place to hang out, this is a good option for a place to hang your hat. No view, dusty, gravelly surroundings, but fine for a place to stay close to Fira center.

United KingdomIt’s on a busy road but it wasn’t particularly a problem.
The property was lovely! Really simply decorated, felt really authentic to Greece in a stylish way. Pool is amazing, big enough for a swim with loads of sun loungers and parasols etc. All the staff were great, super helpful, friendly and welcoming. The nicest place we stayed on all 5 islands we visited - not Santorini itself but the accommodation.

United StatesEverything was excellent!!!
The property was always spotless. The staff was always on top of everything and always keeping the pool clean and all of the common areas. They helped us arranging a tour to the Volcano and Hot Springs and gave us recommendations on how to get to places and what to try, as far a food. The hotel is within two blocks away from Fira center and the bus station. if you wanna explore the whole island on a budget take public transportation. The owner Dimitri was such a gentlemen (I’ve added a pic, we loved him) And the receptionist Alexandra and Ευάγγελος were very friendly and helpful. Always willing to help in any way they could. Specially when our flight got cancel right when we were at the airport, they were able to accommodate us without hesitation for another 3 nights. Do not take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, they will charge you $30 euros vs $2 euros per person if you take public transportation. The bus stop is right outside of the airport and they drop you off at the buss station a block away from the hotel. There are plenty of cafe shops within two blocks with great options for breakfast. Our favorite spot was CAYO. I really recommend it and also very friendly staff.

United StatesThe beds were very, very uncomfortable. I cannot stress that enough. I hated the beds. Everything else was really, truly, wonderful, but I probably will not return bc of the beds.
The staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions! The rooms are spacious and we had a beautiful view of the water. We weren’t expecting a kitchenette, which was a plus. We loved that a drying rack is located outside of every room.

United StatesNot the hotels fault, just Fira town is crazy busy so walking to town from the hotel involves navigating the streets with tons of buses and cars zooming around.
The location was perfect. Just on the edge of Fira town out of the hustle and bustle. The beds were comfortable, the shower had great pressure, the staff was friendly. It was a great value.

Being close to the bus stop helps you get out of the misery Santorini is. The hotel has a pool, so you dont have to visit the dirty polluted beaches. Friendly old guy (probably the owner) gave us beer. Really comfortable shower.

United KingdomSomething I think would be helpful would be the provision of a bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. Or alternatively the facility to buy water, on arrival, from reception.
We stayed for 2 nights. Walking distance to Fira centre. Access is via the bus car park on the opposite side of the road. We were grateful for the use of a pool and sunbeds . Overall a comfortable pleasant stay. Fira can get very busy with day visitors. This apartment is away from the hustle and bustle but is near enough to enjoy what Fira has to offer.
