For us it was just fine

Traditional family run hotels on the fringe of a busy Fira town centre. Towels and room changed and cleaned every day by the splendid cleaning ladies. Staff were helpful and friendly. Peaceful quiet room at the rear of the building, with great views over the hills towards the sea. Demitris and his wife were kind and friendly people.

The family owned hotel 5 minutes away from the central area of Fira. The owner family was extremely friendly, particularly to our kids, making our stay comfortable and accommodated. Definitely recommend.

Spacious and clean room. Lovely garden . Just less than 5 min walk to central of Fira . Away from the bustle and hustle. Parking within the courtyard. Near to bus station if you are not planning to drive. Dimitri, the owner, although does not speak much English was most friendly. His staff does speak English but we have no communication issues with Dimitri.

Pool is close to very busy road that was extremely dusty when we visited.

Perfect location within walking distance of the bus station and delicious restaurants in downtown Thira. Staff was friendly but spoke very little English. Booking a car from the ferry and to the airport was very reasonable and convenient! Room is beautiful with wonderful views from the balcony. Pool loungers are high quality and the pool was very refreshing!

The design of the washbasin area is not so good as the water always leaked to the floor.

The owner was such a gentleman!! He helped us arrange the transportation and even changed the big denomination into small ones!!! Not to mention the location was great and also everything else!!

Our stay at Hotel Anessis was absolutely wonderful! The flat was spotless upon our arrival and cleaned daily. The hotel's location was fantastic, within easy walking distance of Thira town, buses, local shops, and bakeries. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would definitely love to stay here again; it offered excellent value for money, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. During our stay, we initially stayed for three days and then ferry-hopped to Ios. However, we had to return to Santorini earlier than expected due to a ferry cancellation caused by strikes. The Anessis staff showed incredible compassion and generosity. They allowed us to leave our bags in the reception area and relax by the pool free of charge on the day of our flight home where we had nowhere to go or stay all day with our cases. They refused to accept any payment for this kind gesture. The staff at Hotel Anessis truly made us feel like family during our stay and would recommend staying here to anyone.

The check in was confusing. There was no one there for ages, and we couldn’t find the check in, eventually a man showed up and was very sweet but also spoke no English. He was very nice though and tried to help as best he could. But overall a great experience!
