Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainIt isn’t a hotel. It’s just a set of rooms without reception. Nobody was there. Just a paper with our name and the number of the room.
Everything was correct and basic. Good location

United KingdomNothing we were comfortable.
A traditional Greek hotel. No frills, but very clean and comfortable. The owner doesn’t speak very good English, but that’s not a criticism, as it’s Greece. She was very friendly and accommodating.

United StatesWe had a little view of the port of Skopelos Town and it was beautiful :) the building itself was lovely. Lots of charm and had a "homey" feel which was very nice. Location was great! Very close to shopping and restaurants as well as everything that Skopelos town has to offer. We were able to walk from the port where we arrived on a ferry easily with our luggage. The owner was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed out time.

United KingdomThe room was really hot and stuffy and smelled of cigarettes when we arrived. The air con was very loud and not very efficient at cooling the room.
The room is really well located right in the centre of Skopelos Town near some of the best restaurants. The staff are really friendly and the room was cleaned while we were there. The bed was comfortable.

CyprusSmoking - The owners are smoking inside the hotel (in a small room where they are sitting most of the times). As a non-smoker I could smell the smoke from the first moment I entered the hotel and was quite disgusted. I think this is quite rude and disrespectful of their guests considering the garden is just 5 steps away. As we have been discussing this with my friends, I think they might have heard us and on the third day they told us "we wil close this door as we are smoking". However, the next day the door remained open again. The breakfast - We paid an extra 8 euros per person per day to have breakfast. The breakfast provided did not reflect the price paid. The first three days the breakfast was just a boiled egg, two frozen spinach pies or cheesepies for each person, one chocolate cookie or a piece of cake from the supermarket and bread with jam. In addition, there was coffee and concentrated juice. There weren't any fruits, vegetables and / or cheese, ham to put on the bread. After three days of eating almost the same breakfast I was quite fed up and felt the need to eat outside the hotel where you can find good stuff for that price (e.g try Koxyli, or Michalis for cheesepie and mpougatsa). On the positive side is the fact that when I told the owner that I do not eat the egg and that I would like some cheese on my bread she bought some cheese slices from the supermarket for the next day. Also, in the last day my friends told me that she made an omelette and a tost (in my opinion this was too late as six days have already passed). Nevertheless, I keep the fact that the owner was willing to adjust the breakfast based on our preferences and comments hence if you are staying there please ask for what you want from the first day. She was very kind which I really appreciated.
Amazing location - within 5 minutes from the harbour, a supermarket and some of the best restaurants you have to try (e.g. Perivoli) Very clean - Although the hotel is quite old, it is kept in a good state. Most importantly they clean the rooms thoroughly every morning and change the towels and sheets.

United KingdomI think the coffee at breakfast was Greek coffee, which was not to our taste but not complaining as everything else was excellent.
We loved the location which was hidden away but offered stunning views of the town and sea from our balcony where we could sit out and relax. It had a nice feel of a more traditional hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. It was just a short walk down to the harbour, ideal for the ferry. Also very close to a very good supermarket which we visited frequently. Our hosts were lovely, you could tell they just wanted us to be happy with everything. The lady of the hotel was French so it was a good chance to use my rusty schoolboy French.

SlovakiaThe owner was waiting for us during the check in, unfortunately right after she gave us keys, she dissapeared. We had a bird nest in our room (in fact, the owner had other double room available in the hotel and I really do not understand why she didnt accomodated us in room without nest in first place) We wanted to change the room right after we found out, but we couldnt find her. We tried to find her in the evening, we didnt. She didnt give us any info about breakfast (only she asked us what time would be fine), but no information where we will find her in case of something, or her phone.... The omelet on the breakfast was unfortunately cold, the owner didnt ask us what we prefer to eat, I advice to talk more to the clients and ask them, but we had coffee, tea, omelet, bread, butter, jam, cheese pastry, and little cake. The water in shower in the evening run into the bathroom(i think something was broken) and we didnt have towel more so the bathroom was flooded...
The price was cheap for the location Breakfast was fine The reception had maps to take Hair drier and warm water (although it took about 5minutes to have it hot) We could leave our baggage at the reception after check out The owner was nice (but could be more communicative and available)
