The design touches are really unique and gorgeous - just recognize that the pics on the website are understated, and don’t fully capture the elegance and thoughtful amenities. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and provided many recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. You’ll have a wonderful time in this private bit of paradise.

The flies, but the island has a fly problem in general, however if you make sure that you don’t leave doors and windows open without the mesh fly guard, you should be fine. Other than that, the place is incredible.

My family and I absolutely loved everything about this villa and the staff. We felt welcomed from the first minute we arrived. The reception staff were very knowledgeable about the island and made everything and everywhere we wanted to go and do so easy to arrange. The cleaning staff and pool staff were also very friendly and polite. The attentiveness of all the of staff was second to none. I would recommend this place to everyone. You will not regret it.

One of our best stays ever. Andra and Marios responded to all of our requests. Melina and Ida kept our room spotless and the daily breakfasts were wonderful. Not sure if we will ever make it back to Santorini but if we do we feel we would be returning as friends.

From before arrival communication with Andra all the way through departure everything was excellent. Quick communication and Andra coordinated having some local wines in our room upon arrival. Everything was beautiful and clean. It was so nice being away from the crowds and having a large pool all to ourselves. The breakfast was very good and plenty of coffee, tea, and water in the room. An amazing experience at Ambelli. The views are something we will never forget. Great stay for when you are in Santorini, away from crowds, amazing views, friendly staff (shout out to Andra 😊), amazing breakfast, and lovely decorated building. We will be back!! We could not recommend this place enough!! Also you can’t beat the price 😊

Bit close to the road but really doesn’t bother you at all once in and you can’t hear it. Mattresses a bit soft and sheets a bit ill fitting but that’s an easy fix. Everything else amazing!

Big wow factor when you walk in, amazing views, pool area and very swish inside. Views over the caldera are stunning. Andra and Marios on reception were super lovely and an absolute pleasure to talk to - really go out of their way to help and check you have everything you need, big thank you! Breakfast brought on a tray by 2 beaming ladies was very generous and tasty!

Exceptionally Amazing!! We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa with a private pool with another couple. From the time of booking the staff were INCREDIBLY helpful. They booked our personal airport and ferry transfers, local trips to/from restaurants, shopping etc. Andra also arranged a fantastic private chef (Capers) for dinner on our private terrace at sunset. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect experience. The villa has amazing views that are breathtaking, especially from the pool, the outdoor area included hammock, sofas, lounge beds, shower and a grill. A very friendly cleaning staff and pool cleaner came every day. Andra and Marios managing the property were THE BEST! Just a text and they responded immediately to anything we needed. Absolutely superb service from Andra and Marios! We were so well looked after- really a game changer. We had a lot more space than we would have in Oia and had parking right outside which was important to us. The property is fab too- we took the room with a jacuzzi and spending sunset there was magical!

Nothing to dislike here at all. I would recommend a hire car when staying here, as although Megalochori and Akrotiri are within walking distance, the Santorini roads are not nice or safe to walk as there are generally no pavement areas.

Located in the quieter South of the island away from the chaos of the cruise ship tourists and influencers in Oia, Ambeli is an ideal base for seeing the beautiful and quieter villages of Megalochori, Emporio, and Akrotiri, visiting the beaches, and the Akrotiri archeology site. We stayed here after a few nights just outside Oia, and the change of pace in the South left us feeling we had seen so much more of Santorini than the many visitors who just remain in Oia or Thira. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, who are super helpful and friendly, and nade us feel really welcomed and looked after. A delicious and plentiful breakfast was delivered to the room each day. The villa itself is clean and nicely designed, and there is ample parking if you have a hire car. The views of the caldera from the villa are staggering! A perfect stay, and we would happily come again.

We really enjoyed everything about our stay! The apartment is perfect for people who are looking for peace and privacy and attach great importance to excellent service for a really fair price. However, if you want to live in the middle of the hustle and bustle, then you might consider to look for other accommodation.

We spent our honeymoon in Santorini in May 2024 in the suite with whirlpool. The accommodation was exceptionally good and is highly recommended! Even before our arrival we were contacted via WhatsApp if we needed any information or help. The receptionists Andra and Marios are super helpful and flexible and did everything to make our stay perfect. From comprehensive support and information about excursions, rental cars, food orders to nice conversations, you can tell that they both put their heart and soul into their job. Our suite was very modern, clean and spacious. The whirlpool on the balcony is an absolute highlight, along with a dining table, two sunbeds, two beanbags and a hanging basket. Unlike most Cave Villas in Oia and Fira, where lots of tourists can see into the balconies, you actually have privacy here. Although the apartments are located on a quite busy road, the walls make it difficult to see in or only from a distance. You can even see the famous sunset from the balcony. Breakfast is brought to the room at the selected time and always included freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, white bread with butter and jam, yoghurt with nuts and honey, something savory like spinach strudel and something sweet like pancakes or cookies. Everything was freshly prepared and very good! It is worth mentioning that it is unusual to walk on the street as there are rarely sidewalks. There is only one restaurant, which is very close. Otherwise, you can also order food with the help of the reception and bottles of water and softdrinks are provided. We took part in guided excursions and used a rental car for one day and therefore had absolutely no problem with the fact that the accommodation is located on a connecting road between two towns without many restaurants or supermarkets within walking distance. In return, you have privacy, which is really rare on Santorini!

The rooms were very clean and we had a pleasant stay at the Villa. The breakfast was great. The hosts Andra and Marios were very welcoming and the hospitable was commendable. The sunset view was amazing. If you are on a vacation in Santorini to capture the sunset view, then I definitely recommend this Villa instead of the overly crowded Oia.

The breakfast was great, the view is amazing! You can enjoy the sunset view directly from your cozy apartment without being in the crowd. The apartment itseft is very cozy and comfortable, it has everything that we need. You have a full kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, all cooking utensils need to cook or reheat your meal. There is shared washing machine in case you would like to wash your own clothes, no needs to go for laundry. There is water bottle provided so you won't need to stock them yourself (You needs a lot of water to drink in santorini hot weather) You have a nice apartment with a living room where you can unwind yourself after a long day of exploring the island, or relax in the jacuzzi with amazing view. The best of all, the host Andra always goes miles and beyond for us, she always do her best to help us in every situation that we have. If you have a problem, Andra always have a solution! The best host ever! Thanks Andra and Ambeli sunset villa team for making this trip memorable for me and my fiancé We will definetly stay here again if we visit santorini!
