Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe breakfast experience was really exceptional. The food was great, and the setting of the lounge is really unique. The personnel are very polite and helpful, we had warm welcoming, and a great conversation with the receptionist every day. The location of the suite is really amazing - in just a few minutes in the center of the town, and yet with full privacy quiet and comfy, in the small side street.

The property is stunning in a great location near the Caldera in Santorini and the central bus station with buses running to the Airport, port and Oia. There are plenty of restaurants, super market and bars within a min walk. The breakfast provided was lovely snd freshly made -although too big for us. Most importantly the staff was excellent.

This was the best stay ever!! Mike is an allrounder and helped with everything we needed. He guided us and gave us the information we needed. We can easily say that Alaso has the most incredible and best breakfast we have ever had!! It is personalised to your needs. They never forget to do a bit extra :). The rooms are spacious and cleaned thoroughly every day. Hygiene is of utmost importance to Alaso. They have Rituals products which are just amazing. Last but not least, Alaso is located in the city centre of Fira and just on a walking distance of great views of the Caldera.

Modern design, very clean and well furnished. The location is great and the jacuzzi is a great addition to the accommodation. The room has everything, from a comfortable bed and pristine bathroom, to a hairdryer, an iron and a lot more amenities. The property is 10/10 but the host, Mike, makes your stay an experience you wont forget. He is very friendly, helpful and makes the best breakfast (every day different meal)! I would definitely recommend him as a Santorini partner - for accommodation, transport and any excursions you might wish to pursue. He can also help you find the most delicious restaurants on the island!

FranceI think everything here is 10 out of 10, especially the Jaccuzi in the courtyard, perfect for a holiday. Faye was very enthusiastic and helped me arrange a car from the airport to the hotel. On the night of check-in, she took me to familiarize myself with the shops around the hotel and helped me find the route to the cable car.

Fabulous stay in Alaso Design Suites. Gorgeous decor. The bed was so comfortable. Lovely Ritual products in the bathroom. Everything you need in the room, hairdryer, iron, towels, robes & slippers. The hot tub was super clean & so relaxing. In fact, the room & hot tub was so good we didn’t want to leave to explore Santorini!! Location is perfect, two minute walk to the centre of Fira. Faye our host was so welcoming & helpful. She went above and beyond during our stay, complimentary drinks & sweets, organising transport, information about the area & restaurants. Last of all, the breakfast was exceptional. Local organic produce, huge portions that kept us full for the whole day!

United StatesThere was nothing to dislike.
It was beautiful, spotless, and the ample breakfasts were amazing. We were in the heart of Thira but on a quiet path away from the noise and crowds. Fay was very knowledgeable about what to do and see on the island and even gave us a short walking tour to orient us to the geography. The hot tub on our private patio was a perfect place to unwind at the end of each day.

NetherlandsThe room (ground floor) tends to become quite hot overnight - we didn't leave the air conditioning on while sleeping. As a suggestion, we would have loved to use the 'common room' after breakfast hours too.
Faye is an incredible host, she does everything to make you feel good during your stay! The design of the rooms and property is outstanding, and the heated private plunge pool is the cherry on top. The location is just perfect (quiet location but super close to the center).

Faye met us on arrival from our airport transfer which she also had arranged for us. After showing us our suite Faye walked us the short walk to the main square in Fira to show us where the shop’s restaurants and bars were. Nothing was a problem to her. Breakfast was amazing with a different selection each day. Top marks to the chef!! Our suite was clean with fresh towels every day of our stay. When next in Santorini we will definitely stay at ALASO Suites

United KingdomTo comment something I would say that the water in the shower was not enough hot. but as a personal preference, I usually like really hot water for showers. Second as a piece of advice, when you use the jacuzzi be careful to put a towel on the floor, as this one can be slippery when wet.
Where do I begin with... I LOVED everything! Before arriving at the property, I arranged a shuttle service with Faye the host of Alaso Suites. They picked us up at the airport and the transfer was smooth. On arrival, she was there waiting for us, with a big smile, and made us feel super welcome. From that moment, she became our Greek mum for the whole stay. We got room 1 with a private entrance. Beautiful patio terrace with jacuzzi, two stylish chairs and a cute ladder that we used to dry our swimwear every day, after using the jacuzzi. The Room was super stylish, we loved the comfy bed, it came with all the necessities needed, complimentary free water, and all the bathroom products were from Rituals (I am obsessed with that store). We also got some coconuts delicious pastry left in the room for us, as a welcome treat. We had a delicious breakfast, that the chef prepared every day for the guests, and the room was always tidy and clean with extra towels when we came back. Faye, the host, also assisted us on several occasions, for example when we wanted to rent a car or activity, or we needed help finding parking. The property is brand new, and it's a beautiful gem, worth staying in Fira. Also, the team that runs the whole place, are amazing hardworking people. In regards to the area, it is safe, and 4 min walking distance from the centre of Fira. Plenty of stores, restaurants, and clubs if you are looking for some, and also, I saw one of the prettiest sunsets from Fira. Even if it is closed in the centre, you won't hear noise at night, at sleep time, since the windows are soundproof. If you are doubting where to stay, please stop scrolling and book Alaso Suites, you won't regret it.

United KingdomNothing it was all fabulous.
Small boutique suites with 5* hotel quality and a personal touch. Everything about the stay was amazing. The room was delightful and spa like, kept immaculate every day by the wonderful cleaner. The jacuzzi (cleaned daily by the pool guy) and private outdoor terrace was a great place to relax at the end of the day. The location is quiet, but yet only a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Firá or to the main bus station! Breakfast was divine, everyday something different with lots of delicious treats all prepared by the amazing chef! All of this was managed and coordinated by the brilliant Faye. All in all, a most spectacular stay in a wonderful part of Greece, I can’t recommend highly enough!!

Everything was great. From the hospitality to the food and cleanliness. It was an amazing experience and I would recommend all to stay at this location. The jacuzzi was a game changer after long days of travelling around the island. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience than what was provided here. For a hotel that has only been open for a couple of months, it was an incredible experience and I once again recommend it to all.

NetherlandsBreakfast is just missing some nutella 😆 like the tiny one, so beside the jam and butter there is also another option that people will love it. Also about the payment, we selected the option “pay on arrival” but we were charged when we were within the cancellation policy, but the payment policy states pay on arrival, so the charge should be made upon checkin and we were supposed to be charged in advance only if we were going to cancel 🙂minor things for the rest was all really nice
Perfect position right in the centre but it has privacy. They private jacuzzi was super nice. The bed was really comfortable. Everyday the room was cleaned with clean towels as well. Breakfast was provided with so much food that we were skipping the lunch later 😀 They were all nice and welcoming

United KingdomI don’t have a single fault with the property - it was gorgeous!
Everything about our stay was amazing - the interior design aspect of the rooms and the rest of the areas is exceptional, even down to the small details of Rituals products in the room and special ‘make up’ face towels. The toilet and shower were beautifully designed and details even down to the lighting in the room have been carefully considered. The bed was also an ottoman style bed so we were able to keep our empty luggage underneath the bed and out of the way! The jacuzzi was a gorgeous luxury which we used everyday - the bed was super comfortable, the room was serviced everyday and everywhere was incredibly clean. The breakfast was a highlight, we were given multiple courses each day (I’m not sure there was a day where we actually finished it all) but everyday was something different and each day it tasted and looked beautiful, and although we had no personal dietary requirements, we know that they do cater to those with specific needs. Our personal favourite was the Greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts and the homemade pancakes! It is in a really good location - few minutes walk from the main square in Thira, yet tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood/street that it was also peaceful - the rooms are soundproof and the rooms have blackout blinds. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus station (if first arriving via the bus and you are using google maps to find the hotel - if it tells you to turn right out of the bus station, ignore it and turn LEFT instead. We learnt the hard way that right takes you up and down the cobbled hills/streets and later the same day, figured if we had just turned left it was a much flatter, easier, less physically tiring route!) The highlight that really made our stay is Faye, she was so welcoming from start to finish.
