Main issue was that when we arrived our room smelled like sewage. When we reported this the owners tried to insist they didn’t smell it, and then tried to tell us “sometimes the island smells bad”. Then they said it would go away and that they didn’t have another room. We were shopping for a new hotel when they finally told us they actually did have another room which they moved us to. It smelled normal, and for the ensuing 3 days we saw our initial room being constantly aired out. So they definitely could smell it. We had paid something like €1300 for our week and this was a really bad first impression. Aside from that we occasionally had issues with slightly pedantic rules (can’t eat by the pool for tax reasons (?), also cant bring your own snacks to the common areas, can’t take food or drinks to certain viewpoints, sun loungers are bolted to the ground so you can’t move them into the shade). We felt like we might get told off for breaking rules a lot.

Location is the best part, I felt like we had the best views in Oia, and could also step right out into the busy town. The views of the sunset are absolutely unreal, the whole place is beautifully kept, and quiet. The pool is amazing and absolutely necessary if visiting in high season. You get an apartment-hotel with your own little terrace. Sun loungers are comfy, tasty breakfast with a couple of gluten free options if you need them, and different local treats each morning. And you can order drinks to the poolside. Despite the “dislikes” I’ve posted, which I feel are necessary to flag, we had a really nice time on our holiday here, and I don’t know that we could have had a better hotel for our budget in the area.

Everything was excellent, but if I had one suggestion I would say the Loft area did not get enough cool circulation.

Centrally located-nice amenities! We woke to a lovely breakfast each morning, we could walk to most everything and we came back to a pool and rooftop bar!

nothing to complain... it is all about your expectations and what you get for the price you pay. I do not think we could have found better place for money we spent!

The superior room was spacious, clean and well covered against the sun - not that hot inside... just a beautifull view from hotel sunset terrace - we went several times to different restaurants for sunset, but last two days we just took a carrafe of house wine and went up there, to sunset terrace - that was the most beautifull moment of whole stay - no people, amazing view, just perfect pictures and magic moment we won't forget... Breakfast - you should manage your expectations, this is pure greek traditiobal breakfast, not the one you get anywhere in germany or UK - breakfast was different and as we do not need tons of food, quality was excelent - fresh olives, cheese and a bit of everything local... Having a pool inside hotel was so refreshing after whole day outside, pool was clean and always free umbrellas. They even serve a wine or beer to the pool! Staff and the couple which I think are owners (sorry if not) were very helpfull and pleasant - no problems at all - just proposals and solutions. ...and almost forgot location - you're in the hearh of Oia, next to main church at main square - it is close to everywhere. They could have given us more water in our room and instant coffees for early morn risers before breakfast Other than that perfect!

We loved the hotel.Breakfast was good George helped us and cecee was so nice at the front desk and all the other staff were very helpful The room was so huge like a fairytale apartment. Lots of stairs.When checking out we could not get our ferry for hours after so they stored our luggage for while we saw more of Oia. When coming back we somehow forgot to check our safe which had our passports and wallet Thank God our housekeeper found it and told front desk when we went to collect our luggage or it would have been a disaster.They also found a dress I just bought that I left in closet Thankyou so much to our housekeeper who was wonderful for notifying front desk of finding our things. We can't thank them enough! A Wonderful stay Pool was so nice and view of sunset fabulous!

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel in Oia, Santorini, and it was a great experience. The location was amazing, with beautiful views of the sea and the famous Santorini sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were kind and helpful, always ready to give advice. Breakfast was tasty and served outside with a nice view. It was a calm and relaxing stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Oia!

Our stay here was perfect! Such an ideal hotel in an ideal location close to the centre of Oia with great restaurants around the corner. The staff were super friendly and helpful and our room was spacious and clean. We had the best time at Aethrio Sunset Village!
