Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Sofia was super helpful and made our stay memorable. The sitting are outside was nice. Location was nice, quiet in the evening, but everything was still close.

This was a modern clean unit, close to the harbour at Adamas, with a great terrace area. It was a comfortable size for 2 people. Wi-fi worked well.

CanadaThe beds were hard and uncomfortable, the two storey with a very tight spiral staircase was not well communicated. It was difficult to take suitcases up and there was no privacy between it and the lower level. The main floor bath had no shower head holder, and leaked water when the shower spray was used. There was broken glass on the floor near the sofa bed, and a used water bottle we found under the sofa bed. Two of us hit our heads on the tv holder in the main floor
Kitchenette was ok. Little patio was nice, but we didn’t use it much as it was too hot. Location was good. Owner was pleasant.

FranceReally my only complaint is that we were on the ground floor, but we did book the apartment really last minute. The property also has a gate around it so we still felt safe, but ideally we would have been at least 1 floor up.
I loved the size of the room, it really feels like a small apartment. The kitchen was nice (we made our own food for a good portion of our stay), wifi worked well (we were working some of the days we were there), and the air conditioner and black out blinds were great.

Aerolithos is an outstanding choice for staying at Adamas. The room was spacious and clean. It even had a balcony where you could enjoy the view of the port. The owners, mother and daughter, are extremely helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended for your stay on Melos.

United StatesA card is attached to your room key that you need to insert into a receive on the inside of the door to switch on the electricity in the room. This includes the air conditioning. I understand the conservation of electricity, however, you would have to crank the air conditioning everytime you came back to the room to get it back to a comfortable temperature.
This is a quaint little hotel in Adamantas. Close enough to the main street that you could walk to most restaurants and shops in Adamantas yet far enough away that the location is quiet and peaceful.

IrelandI found the bath/ shower a bit cumbersome , had to be extra careful getting in and out due to previous back surgery. Perhaps a bath mat would have helped. Overall, nothing major to complain about.
This accommodation was really nice and clean, situated a few minutes walk from the port, restaurants and supermarket. Sophia, the host was a very nice lady who gave us all the information we needed upon arrival. The apartment was equipped with most things that we needed for our stay. We would have liked a microwave or electric kettle! We had a nice view and the area was very quite. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone I know visiting Milos, which is a lovely island.
