Having to leave

The house was immaculate and in a wonderful location overlooking a quiet bay. Katarina and her husband were exceptional hosts, welcoming, kind and available to help with transport and local recommendations. We stayed for two nights but wished it had been longer! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Katarina for a wonder stay!

The villa is bright airy and well appointed. It has wonderful views, and was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The owners are lovely people and very accommodating. The villa has air-conditioning, but it is also fitted with screens on all doors and windows. We loved that we could sleep with the aircon off and the doors and windows open to the sea breeze, with no fear of mosquitoes! There are two beaches nearby with sandy beaches and good water for swimming. The ten-minute stroll to Vari beach, via quiet lanes fringed with tall bamboo and dotted with old wells and enclosures of goats and gaggling geese is delightful.. There are several restaurants and two small shops there, offering fresh and frozen food, as well as drinks (the local wine is good value). We hired a scooter to explore this beautiful island and, when the roads run out, there are miles and miles of hiking tracks leading to secluded bays, castles and caves.

It is in a quiet smaller town within walking distance of two beaches, several restaurants and a well equipped mini market. The place was exceptionally clean and had amazing views of the water!

Aelion is a beautiful villa centrally located to Fambrika and Vari beach as well as numerous restaurants and walks. It is beautifully designed and decorated to make you feel both at home and relaxed. Katerina and Babis are excellent hosts who go above and beyond to help with transfers, questions and also pop in to ensure bins, bedding and towels are regularly changed. We leave Syros recharged, relaxed and can’t wait to come back

The electrical in the area is minimal and is of no fault to the owner - you are on an island after all. Just be mindful if using hot tub jets and running the laundry at the same time. Katerina was always a msg or phone call away.

We loved meeting Katerina & her husband. She offered ferry transfer and immediately made us feel like an extension of her family. The property was stunning, had all the necessary supplies to make meals. We appreciated the coffee and small grocery items to start our stay in the morning. The view of the ocean is stunning and worth the early wake up to catch a sunrise. The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking and the stars were incredible. Beds are so comfortable, wifi/netflix & toiletries available and we appreciated being able to launder a few items and hang to dry in the warm sun. Katerina takes great pride in her property from the gorgeous gardens to amenities she made available to ensure our comfort. It is a short walk from Finika beach and an easy 10min walk to Vari beach where you can find a corner store, a few restaurants and the bus stop.

The host is a local couple who put their life efforts to build this house. They look after it very well, and won us over through the little things: the thorough cleaning, the fact that they had bought breakfast ingredients, the beach towels, the small shampoo bottles. Babis and Katerina are also ready to go above and beyond. They booked us a speedboat tour, called us mid stay to ask if we wanted the apartment to be cleaned and we’re always very flexible with us (departure times for instance) All in all, you get what you see in the pictures, and will be taken care of by authentic and honest people.

Nothing to complain about, everything was perfect.

The location is beautiful, a quiet place very close to the beach. The apartment has everything we needed, it was very clean, we got everything for our daily breakfast and the whirlpool on the balcony was a highlight! Our hosts were just wonderful, the communication worked out perfectly and they took really good care of us. We spent 10 wonderful and relaxing days in the Aelion Villas and the wonderful island of Syros!

Lovely styled, impeccably clean and with an amazing view over the deep blue sea. This place is worth every penny. Wonderful and accommodating hosts, walking distance from the beach, it has just everything you need and a bit more. Absolute gem of a place, book it while it’s available.
