Pool, spaciousness and cleanliness

This place is well operated. It's located 15 mins walk down hill from the central area. There is a beautiful pool attached to the property. The suite is quite spacious though you might find the interior is a bit out dated. However, I didn't have any issues with cleanliness at all. I'd like to recommend this place to healthy travelers who look for affordable accommodation with comfort

We booked a room at A&G Suites more than half a year before our stay. When we arrived we were told that we could not get the room we had chosen because there was a problem with the shower. We were transported to a wonderful Villa several kilometers away. The accommodation was really great, had its own spa and sauna. We could have stayed there for the whole time (3 nights), of course changing to a more modest room, but the reason for choosing A&G Suites in the first place was the location (close to the center of Firá). Because the Villa's location was bad without a car, so we wanted to our original hotel. At this point we were told there was a problem with the hot tub in the room. We then got to stay in the Blue Suites, in our opinion a more modest room than what we had paid for. In addition, driving back and forth took up valuable vacation time and it was uncomfortable.

Instead A&G Suites, we stayed in Blue Suites. Friendly staff, clean hotel and area, beautiful pool. There was a beautiful view from the balcony. Comfy beds. Quiet room.

**Internet connection is very poor in the rooms. They really should use external internet beacon. **Room selection process was confusing for me. in the booking.com initially I gave my choice outside hot tub. But after paying we found it’s we didn’t get that. ( it was my first time with booking.com , so it could be my fault too to check final product before paying) And after reaching there we got another room in blue suits hotel. Although we liked the room than which was shown in the web but whole process was really confusing. **We had to pay additional 1.5 € per night and why only in cash which was also unclear for me.

Be careful not to fall into the empty (in winter) pool. Lovely breakfast room but no breakfast possible in Winter.

We had to check in at Suites Blue and were offered a choice to stay there or A&G. We chose Suites Blue and it was great - a clean, spacious room and lovely sea view. On site parking and easy, short walk to everything in Fira.

The ground floor room had a damp smell, so we asked the receptionist to shift us to the first floor, luckily we were shifted.

I like the location and view from the balcony, it faces the back side of the island so it gets quiet and relaxing.

The TV was small and not a smart TV. The jacuzzi was smaller than the pictures.

It has a really warm jacuzzi, the room had a confortable bed and 2 couch-beds, so quite a lot of space.

The lack of organization for our reservation was dissappointing: we booked for 7 nights at A&G suites however, the reception lady sent us to a different hotel (golden star), when we got to the hotel I got a whatsapp text saying that she forgot to mention that we were only staying there the first 2 nights, then we had to move to the A&G suites. The day that we moved to A&G suites, the owner (Anastasia) texted, saying that the key for our room was at the door (quite akward). Not even a transfer to the hotel was available, so my husband and I had to carry our luggage uphill to get to the room. It's really unprofessional. The rooms were nice in both hotels, but the shower at A&G was always flooded. They can really improve their attention to the reservations and client's comfort. Also, the pictures on Booking.com did not match the real rooms, which is weird because actually they have better rooms than the pictures.

The location was great, near the Fira bus station and food places.

I didn’t like that as soon as we arrived, we were moved to a different hotel for our first night due to a supposed bathroom leak. The new accomodation was admittedly very lovely with stunning views we otherwise wouldn’t have had. We looked at reviews and turns out the same thing has happened to lots of people. Check-in time for the other hotel was later than A&G Suites so we had to wait around to check-in. Then when we checked out the following day to check-in at A&G suites, we had to wait a while as there were people staying in one of our rooms. Our plans for the day had to be changed again. The accomodation itself was lovely but be prepared to change hotel locations since that seems to be a reoccurring issue.

The door handle in the bathroom had fallen off and couldn’t use the handle. The air conditioner only turned on when the back door was closed completely… information we weren’t told earlier so the first night we couldn’t sleep as the air conditioner didn’t turn on and we were really hot. The air conditioner when the door is closed properly does work, but is quite weak so took awhile to cool down the room, but was pleasant for our second night. The pool is also not attached to the property, which was not stated in the booking. It is just down the road in another hotel called blue suits.

The view was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was nice at night time when the temperature cooled down. The jacuzzi wasn’t working the night before, so the company organised for us to stay at a different accommodation before arriving at A&G and that accommodation was really good!

The spa bath that came with the room (and the reason we booked it) was broken for which there were many apologies and apparently no other rooms available and breakfast was given for each night we were without it. After one night, we decided to ask for an immediate solution to be found. The staff management staff were very helpful and moved us two rooms along and that had a functioning spa on a private balcony.

Didn't like being approached and told they need my room back and to move to another hotel for a night and then move back. It's unprofessional and causes disruption to my break away. As a solo traveller with only a rucksake, to be asked to leave my belongings in the morning in the reception and come back later on to move stressed me out before it happened. Eventually after a few words they did not move me but the approach and lack of understanding I did not appreciate.

The hotel was 10 minute walk from the centre, comfy, clean. Own jacuzzi and pool metres away from the hotel room. Couldn't fault the layout.

My only issue was that there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room however coffee is provided in the reception which is great coffee ! my personal preference is to have a coffee in the room .

I understand that it was winter off-season but nowhere in the description did it say the pool would actually be closed. I wouldn't have picked here and would have gone with another option. When I arrived there was no staff which was fine because it was a holiday weekend but no one responded to my messages. I needed the wifi password as there was bad service and I'm international and I never got a response. What if I had a more important issue? There was some mold on the wall and a horrible bright green exit light that faced the bed. The windows to the room were boarded up except for the one facing the reception building. I know that it's winter but maybe they just shouldn't have been open?! On my last night the people next to me seemed to have been able to have them get their individual hot tub serviced (they all looked very dirty when I arrived) and that was all I could hear for the rest of the night (it was so loud!!) I can totally see the potential in the hotel for being a great place to stay in the summer months but I wouldn't suggest it in the winter.

They didn't have me staying at the A&G I stayed at The Blue Suites down the road. So this review is about Blue Suites and the facilities there. I'm not sure but they made it seem like this was supposed to be an upgrade. The price of the room and the kitties around the property were my favorite part of the stay.

I booked a jacuzzi room specifically, and unfortunately it was broken, due to struggle getting appropriate service tradesman it took 4 days to repair - once repaired it was brilliant. As it was end of season, the complex was shut down with no pool or cafe which was fine, but staff were hard to contact over the weekend. they were friendly and helpful just not easily available. the sink in bathroom leaked onto floor - just needs sone general maintenance which I’m sure will happen over the winter months

The bathroom overflows and drain is blocked. The wash basin also was slow to drain. They may need to call a plumber soon. The taxi they arranged for me didn't turn and never Contacted me to advise they're unable to pick me up. The key was dicky. No tea and coffee provided no tissues in the room.

I love how big the room was (I stayed in the Diamond room), big bed beautiful ambiance, had my own hot spa outside my private balcony. I came home late and it was windy but the tub was so nice and warm. The location was about 7 mins walk to bus station. The view was great, overlooking the sea. Shops are a few meters away and lots on the wY to bus station and Fira city centre.

Unfortunately, when I arrived I was told my room wouldn't be ready until the next day and was put in a temporary room. This room was nothing like what I'd paid for. When I complained about how unhappy I was, I was told that the owner had double booked the room and there was nothing that could be done, no compensation to be given apart from an inadequate breakfast. This same experience was happening to at least four other groups of people.

When I eventually got to the room I'd booked it was lovely. The room was spacious, and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. I particularly enjoyed the spa bath, especially after a day hiking between Fira and Oia.
