Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe bed was a bit too soft for my taste. The payment is cash only, but ATMs are nearby.
Sandro is a great host, very friendly and extremely flexible. He reacted always very quick on messages, when we communicated before my stay. I arrived super early in the morning, but as the room was free, he immediately guided me to my room and let me stay there the whole day already for free. The view of my room at the top of the building offered the most spectacular view over Tbilisi and was alone worth the money. The room and the terrace are really big, which i couldn't enjoy enough, as I was gone most of the time. The property is a bit uphill, located in the old town, which makes the view possible. A 10 minutes walk away is the Metro Station at Liberty Square, so you can easily move in the town.

PolandThe place is in a great location - it's close to Liberty Square and restaurants, bars, and cafes are nearby. Yet it's quiet and peaceful as the hostel is located in the backyard. Rooms are convenient and it's kept very clean. Moreover, Sandro is a great host - he's helpful and responds fast. You can purchase a homemade wine for a low price at the hostel, and Sandro was kind enough to offer us one as a gift! Highly recommending :)

AustraliaSandro was a brilliant host. Thee location was excellent. Sandro went above and beyond, even giving me homemade wine everytime I arrived. I used Tbilisi Tales as home base in Tbilisi in between travelling other parts of Georgia. Truly brilliant, relaxed and quiet. I will stay here again. Thank you Sandro.

PolandThe hotel is located in a yard and should have a sign on the gate facing the street, which would make it easier to find. It is also located on a slight hill - people who have difficulty in walking should take this into account. It was not possible to pay by card, which was the biggest inconvenience (Sep 2024).
Very good location of the hotel in old Tbilisi, which allows you to feel the atmosphere of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. There is very good tourist infrastructure in the area - restaurants and bars at your fingertips (but not under your windows). Relatively close to the metro station and the city's main tourist attractions. A very polite and helpful owner completes the high quality of this hotel.

United Kingdomthe location is excellent- I wanted to explore the old town and it was perfect: close to Freedom/Liberty Square, the old town, and the main street with museums, shops etc. The location is quiet, set back from a quiet road, and my room had excellent views over the old town and up to the monuments on the hill tops. It is a small family-run hotel and feels very safe and homely and welcoming.

United KingdomIt would help to have a little sign at the entrance archway saying Hotel Tbilisi Tales but I appreciate that this would have to be attached to someone else's property so may not be possible.
the location is excellent if you want to explore Tbilisi old town. The family who run the hotel couldn't have been more helpful- I needed to leave for the airport very early in the morning and they helped me with my baggage and a taxi and stayed with me on the kerbside until the taxi arrived. The hotel is small and comfortable and has character. It is tucked behind another building (No 11) but the owner had contacted me in advance to say to ask the taxi driver to bring me to No 11 as this is what is marked beside the road.

Czech RepublicIt’s rather smelly in the bathroom, I guess because of the old pipes. Idk if it’s possible to fix, but if you are sensitive to smell you should know.
Super friendly and helpful host. And also there is the sweetest dog living in the hotel😊

GermanyIt is a little bit pricey for Tbilisi, but you get the whole attic and a super view. During my two nights there, the room was not made up, but that is a very small criticism.
The location is superb, in an old part of the city (Sololaki) with tons of atmosphere, but a little bit away from the really touristy areas. I rented the attic with a large roof terrace that overlooks the city - amazing! This terrace is what sets the place apart. (But in the summer it can be very hot). The place feels less like a hotel and more like a guest house: not anonymous but quirky. The owners are super friendly and she speaks English.

NetherlandsA perfect small oasis in the heart of Tbilisi. The most generous host I’ve ever met! Our flight back home was late at night, we could stay in the room all day for free, hours after check-out time! The bed was gigantic and super nice. This place was more then we could have whished for our last night in Georgia.
