Nice welcome from the host. Rrally good bed's and a nice, warm shower. A beautiful surrounding with a good view on Stepantsminda and the trinity Church. You can park the car at the place and in rhe neighbourhood are a few ships and there are 2 restaurants (which weren't not open on Tuesday, shame for us :)). But a walk from 20 minutes down where are more restaurants.

There is no heating in the rooms, so when I visited in October, it was very cold in the house. If you go to Kazbegi in the fall, you should maybe consider to spend a bit more money on a place with heating. Or you can buy a hot water bottle at the pharmacy like I did.

The room is nice, and the bed is clean with thick blankets. The family is downstairs and guests upstairs, so you do not disturb each other. It is very quiet at night. The kitchen has a spotless fridge and a fast electric boiler, but besides that it is not that well equiped. I went to the Gergeti glacier, and it was so great that the guesthouse was so close to the trailhead. The hostess does not speak much English, but it was not a problem. She gave me a piece of freshly baked, homemade khachapuri one afternoon which I loved.

Tamila is a very kind and thoughtful person. She was always there to greet me when I arrived from being out and she was very careful that the place be kept clean and tidy. She had delicious tea available in the kitchen and even offered me her own baked goods which I enjoyed on the lovely terrace. I had alot of privacy (a big room with a double bed all to myself) and the whole experience overall felt private and safe. Moreover, it's 2 min away from the starting point for the church/glacier/peak hike so if you're interested in doing either, this guesthouse is a great place to be at.

Road to get there was unpathed and rough (last 20 or so Metres not good for car low to the ground). A bit of a walk to get to the town at the bottom of the hill.

Owner was lovely although you will need google translate, parking available. Nice room with windows and shared bathroom if there are other travelers during your dates. We were lucky enough to get it all to ourselves. They have a piano as well. Beautiful views from the balcony, and very close to the walking track for the church at the top of the mountain.

The guesthouse is at Gergeti a short walk uphill from Stepantsminda. Stunning views from the balcony. It's a great starting point to go up to the church and the Gergeti glacier. Sitting area in the balcony has a glass roof which is necessary as it can be very windy. The kitchen is fully equipped there is even a sandwich maker. Tamila and the family are very welcoming and take great care of you. I would come back to stay next time.

the smell around the property is a bummer. you can not roam around the place yourself. owner closes the door at 9 to sleep.

the view was good from the window and the terrace.
