“The hosts are nice, they speak a little English and Russian. Nice rooms, comfortable bed and pillows. The location is ideal for walks in the mountains.”
“Great place set inside a renovated old building in a characterful part of the village surrounded by old towers. While the exterior of the building is old, the interior (rooms, bathroom etc) is modern and comfortable. The food here is great. The two sisters who run the place were friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend it to anyone staying in Ushguli.”
“This is our last review after our journey through central Asia and the Caucasus. It was a pity the sun wasn't out but this place deserves a poor rating. Do yourself a favour, whether you are doing the walk from Mestia or just driving over for a night, look elsewhere. Cold, poor bedding, and a generally unpleasant accommodation. The dinner is overpriced. We skipped the offer for breakfast.Nothing spent on this place to enhance the stay. Avoid.”
“Beds were very comfy and dinner was truly deliciously cooked, including freshly suluguni cheese. The hosts put extra time to help all guests get the best transfer possible back to Mestia, and very warm, always smiling despite non stop working caring for the accommodation. View is great!”
“Had a great stay here. The best view I ever had. Breakfast was delicious. The owner is very nice, whe even helped me to organize a horse riding trip. Recommended!”
“We were very happy to find this beautiful, new hotel on the Mestia-Ushguli Trek, which was the perfect spot for relaxing after a hard day of hiking. Our room was bright, extremely comfortable and had a balcony with amazing views. We also really liked the location in Khalde village, which shortened the hardest third day of the trek considerably. Highly recommended!”
“The most interesting thing about the hotel is its location. OUR room had a window from which you could see the summit of Shkhara and a wooden balcony over a green meadow (be careful, not all rooms have this orientation). Although the hostel is modest, the views from the room were unbeatable.”
“Shorena (is the owner and Angelina is the daughter) is a lovely lady and so is her Husband. Very kind host and very welcoming and kind. They love animals and have 2 cats and two kittens and a wonderful German Shepard Maxy (who spends most of his day play chasing the cats and kittens) who is adorable.
She's also a fab cook and makes amazing food.
But the amazing thing about this place is the view. It looks directly onto Shakara mountain. It's 3 mins from the village of Ushilgi just up the hill. Very quiet.
Shorena is an incredibly kind person. A gem of a place to stay in Usguli”
“Excellent location, clean rooms and showers. Comfortable beds, peace and quiet. Hot shower!
Homemade meals in an authentic environment.
Friendly, helpful hosts. Thank you very much.”
