There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like.

Greeted warmly on our arrival and from walking into the front door I knew this place was special. Everything was provided including a flannel to remove makeup. A slice of Bara Brith Welsh Bread was waiting for us and we were in a room of absolute luxury. Breakfast was tremendous and all needs catered for. Highly recommend and can't wait to return next year.

Location is excellent for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and only just over an hours drive to Caernarfon and Bangor and Conwy. The Old Mill has been really well decorated and furnished. It was clean and warm and comfortable with all mod cons including fridge, hot drinks making facilities and snacks. The breakfasts were excellent. The environment was quiet despite presence of other guests and proximity to road. Good parking. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

What’s not to like.

This is our third trip to Yr Hen Felin. It really is a very special place which is mainly due to the care and attention the hosts Carys and Paul put into running the most impeccable Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed in. From the decor to the comfort of the beds and the little touches which make your stay so relaxing - beautiful bed linen, milk and water in the fridge, some chocolate and biscuits and an assortment of teas and coffee which are replaced every day. A cute sitting room with magazines and a photo book charting the renovation project they have recently undertaken on the property next door. A real labour of love. Breakfast is served in an impeccable dining room laid with Portmeirion china individual pretty little resin marmalade and jam pots and beautiful fruit bowls with Greek honey flavoured yogurt. Close to Abersoch and the Lyn peninsula with wonderful walks nearby. I really don’t want to leave such a glowing review as I want to keep Yr Hen Felin our little secret. We will be back.

Accommodation was in a lovely setting and the room was superb and spotlessly clean. Fresh fruit followed by a cooked breakfast was delicious. We were delighted to meet our hosts Paul and Carys.

We honestly cannot think of anything that we didn't like.

The location was perfect for exploring the local area and re visiting special places from childhood. The property was exquisitely decorated for Christmas and the rooms were exceptional and tastefully designed with everything that we could possibly require with well appointed en suite facilities. Carys and Paul made us feel very welcome and the generous and well presented breakfast served in the beautiful breakfast room made a perfect start for our day. We will most definitely return to Yr Hen Felin in the future. Diolch yn fawr!

Not only did the accommodation and the facilities exceed our expectations but the hosts were very friendly and were only too pleased to provide additional breakfasts for visiting family. The breakfast was exceptional and set us up for the day ahead. Although the accommodation is next to the main road through the village we were not affected by an noise.

This place was truly amazing we stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding Paul and Carys were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble Our room was a high standard and the attention to detail amazing everything you could possibly need was in it The bed was so comfortable with luxurious bedding A well stocked bathroom with all the toiletries for you and nice extras for us ladies . As for breakfast very enjoyable with our own table set out with the fruits and cereals and a hearty cooked breakfast as well We highly recommend this place Paul and Carys you do an amazing job and we most definitely will be back .
