The bedroom was comfortable but it had a very odd layout. The bathroom was next to the window, and the bed was away from the window, by the entrance door. Hanging / storage space for clothes was not great. Hanging rail was ok for shirts but not for dresses. I would have added a desk to the room. There was no place where to sit and use a laptop apart from the bed

Very good location, at walking distance to the centre, cafes, museums etc. The ground floor lounge was very pleasant, overlooking the street. Staff very helpful to order taxis

The tv was inscrutable and frustrating (but didn’t come to Edinburgh to watch tv.)

Large clean room. Excellent shower. Comfortable bed that had a head section that one could raise.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. The water for the complimentary drinks was only just warm so the drinks were not nice to drink. Not enough storage space for a family of 4 staying for 4 nights. We couldn't unpack the suitcase of clothes.

The room was spacious. The bed changing into the sofa. Easy check in and check out. Beds were comfy. The shower. It was quiet.

the bathroom is very odd and is just part of the room the shower and toilet are in cubicales but there is no separate room for the sink area so no real privacy which i think they could improve on even fitting a sliding door to section the bathroom area off. also another negative no vegan options for breakfast they had run out.

Our room didn’t have a window, which we weren’t told until we checked in. The room was very small and because of the window it felt a little bit like jail/ a space station.

They have a nice modern bar with cozy couches and a free coffee and tea bar. The location is excellent, a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby and the old town is easy reachable on foot.

I personally didn't like the fact, that you are not able to open the window. So you have to have aircondition ON all the time. Double rooms are probably made for one person, or for long term couples, as the shower and toilet are separated only by milkglass and are not soundproofed. But we managed and survived and had great time in Edinburg :D

Staff in Yotel was really helpfull and made our stay easy. Hotel location is great. Room was very clean and quiet- we were on the 6th floor. It was good choise to book also breakfast as most of the places were still closed in the morning or totally busy. Breakfast was good, lots of items, fresh fruit and lactose intolerance yogurt/milk. Gym has basic equipment but it was totally enough.

It's a bit expensive compared to other venues, so just plan accordingly. I would have topper if we would have some amenities for free as they do in other hotels of the same category.

The location and comfort. The room is not the biggest, but room enough and cozy. Staff is very kind and helpful! You also have tap water and umbrella to rent if needed.

As it happens with many hotels, the bathroom facilities are integrated into the room. If you turn on the bathroom lights during the night, you will surely wake your partner up. The breakfast buffet, although it offers many items, is of medium quality. One can have a more fulfilling breakfast experience in one of the many cafes close to Yotel, spending about the same amount of money.

Yotel is conveniently located in Edinburgh's New Town, an area which is at a walkable distance to the Waverley Train Station, Old Town, Dean Village, Stockbridge and Calton Hill. There are many cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby. The room has a modern vibe, with a bed that can be electronically shift into a kind of reclining couch.
