Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location was amazing, it was only a few streets down from princess st, close enough to be walking distance to anywhere( old town, new town, dean village) if you’re up walks, yet far enough away from the crowded areas that it felt safe. Very easy to get to from the airport. Had a great bag storage facility and the staff was very nice.

AustraliaWe did the don't use the room clean for a few days and get a 5 pound voucher to use at the property, we never received it. Other than that all was good.

United KingdomIt's a pity there was no tea/coffee refreshments in room. The coffee station on ground floor was ok when all options were available. Understand the economics of the setup, but being on 5th floor was a little off putting.
There was a good breakfast and good staff service to keep tables clean of used crockery.

United KingdomCrooks and crannies could have done with a bit of a clean. For example, when the motorised bed comes out, you can see stained bits of food.
The room was so techy... the coloured lights were amazing. So fun. Loved that there were regular blinds and blackout blinds too. Also, the room itself was wonderfully designed, compact and comfy. It was a lovely room.

United KingdomMaybe more lighting in main bedroom bit and not just bathroom. Warn customers that parking is further away than thought and that discount card is provided.
Really clean! Shower was amazing in the room and given a mini fridge as well. Has black out blinds and can’t here a single outside noise despite central location.

LuxembourgI don’t like when breakfast is offered at an additional cost. But it’s not uncommon. Right outside there is an excellent coffee shop I just adored.
The location and staff were great. I also liked the fact they offer both coffee and tea free of charge at any time. It was available next to the bar and you could go get a mug and just enjoy it.

United KingdomI don't understand how this is a 4* hotel. It feels like a glorified Premier Inn. The walls in the hallway were tired, shower cubicle was grimey and marked, there are no tea/coffee facilities, the bed wasn't comfortable but I get that can be preferential. It's not a bad hotel at all, but I wouldn't consider it to be on par with other hotels I've stayed in recently.
Location was good, close enough to both the West End and the city centre. Room was large with basic amenities

United KingdomThere didn’t seem to be any guest parking but that wasn’t relevant to this particular stay. Not sure on that point though.
As a budget type hotel it was excellent. Free tea and coffee in the bar area which was warm and comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful and they assisted with our check in and additional room keycards very promptly. Everything was clean and the bathroom toiletries were of excellent quality. I would stay there again.
