Odd smell in the corridor and room on initial arrival - this did seem to disappear. Lack of plug sockets near to the beds to plug in phone

We were disappointed with the pillows. It was difficult falling and settling to sleep as the pillows weren’t supportive and comfortable. We usually take our Kally pillows because we’re sceptical about the pillow quality when we go away. I trusted that a Marriott hotel would have luxurious pillows. The Delta Marriott York hotel’s pillows were awful. I was disappointed considering the money paid for the room alone. Next time, I’ll have to lug our two huge, Kally pillows. We were very disappointed about that. You’d expect high quality pillows for a decent hotel.

Lovely facilities. We really enjoyed the pool and gym. Room was decent. Bar and dining room was decent. Great location very near to city centre which was great for bus and driving.

Only issues we found was that the mattress was uncomfortable, it was clearly very used and worn out as it dipped heavily in the middle wasn't the worst though. Also lack of AC in the room, most hotels have this as standard now.

Location to the town is ideal as its on a direct bus route, very easy to navigate. Parking is fine and very cheap considering the other options. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel and room were both clean. Enjoyed making use of the leisure facility.

The swimming pool was very small and if there were a few people in there you couldn't really move, but the jacuzzi was nice.

I liked how friendly the staff were, the food at the bar and grill was very tasty and the bus stop was right outside the hotel so it was easy to get to the city centre. Also the 24 hour gas station across the street was helpful.

Breakfast buffet was a little limited for vegetarian options and the coffee wasn’t brilliant. But could order specific items to be cooked fresh.

Ideal location, comfortable and safe environment. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly, felt very welcome.

The room was very small, the bathroom in particular and was a little old - could do with new seals on the bath/shower as stained. The bed had a topper on which felt more like a second duvet which was a little uncomfortable but ok. Lockers in the gym, make them free use no one has coins on them anymore. Breakfast would be good if you could get some scrambled egg as well as fried but small point.

Breakfast and the times for breakfast were excellent. Use of the spa and the spa itself I had a massage and the lady was amazing. The people were friendly and location was great. The manager was very accommodating.

Some aspects are tired - upvc bathroom window screwed shut, shower screen drip strip torn, loose power socket in room; blinds in restaurant missing/stained. Needs some maintenance work.

Staff very friendly and helpful, pool and spa welcome after a long day. Good location, close enough to city centre to be easily accessible without being in the busiest parts.

The only thing that I would say was not ideal is that there were not many TV channels available and that the food inside the hotel was not that cheap but that seems to be standard amongst all hotels.

The room was very comfortable. The swimming Pool was excellent. The location was ideal as it was not too far from the City centre and there were good places to eat nearby. The scenery around the hotel was excellent.

Beds too firm for us.

Staff friendly. Facilities good and great sized rooms. Spa and pool area clean and towels provided. But it was far too hot and the window only opened very slightly. Air con too loud to have on whilst sleeping. However would recommend.
