There was a mix up in my booking as they made a reservation for a lady, however the reception desk people were very kind and tried to help me as much as they could... Very hospitable employees at YHA Hostel, Manchester... Will try and stop there the next time I visit Great Manchester City...

If you need a towel - you need to rent it. It was probably the first time we met situation like this. Wifi was not working in our room - we stayed in the second floor and there was no chance to use it. Breakfast was pretty meeeeh, delicious, but not much to choose from.

Great personal - they were ready to help and ask answer the questions. Big round of applauses goes to woman from personal (haven’t got a chance to ask her name, but she is religious!) who gave us advices what to visit in Manchester, was extremely polite and helpful. Great location: near centre, a lot of restaurants/bars are around.

£50 per night isn't cheap for hostel in shared bunk rooms. But still a lot cheaper than nearby hotel rooms. I think £35 based on accommodation and available facilities would be about right.

Shower is tiny and badly designed - showering leaves splashes all over the bathroom. I found it impossible to even use the toilet after my roommates shower.

It is a very nice, clean, safe hostel. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Nice surroundings

The electric problem damaged my travel adapter. The system needs some improvements, sockets seem weak.

- Very good location, not close to bus statioh but the area is quite nice. - The staff is amazing! There was an electric problem in the room and the girl at night was very proactive and she fixed it! - Very modern, with nice spaces. - Comfortable beds.

Shower on first floor didnt drain and was full of hair when i got there in the evening, beds quite uncomfortable and no curtains on bunks so no privacy whatsoever

However, I'd ask them to place me in a room a bit far from the door of the corridor. Because there are many guests and that door never remains shut for a long time even at night. I was placed in the room right opposite to it and unfortunately I couldn't sleep, not even an hour because of the continuous opening and shutting of the door of the corridor.

I liked the place and I wished I knew about it before. It will be my go to every time from now on. Clean and close to the city.

1.the carpets in the bedrooms are very old style and a very good nest for bacteria 2. The staff was unwilling to help in a very simple problem I faced and the manager was also rude which was not hospitable

The rooms were comfy with great view of the canal. The location was good near the shops and the metrolink and close to the rest of the city centre. Stayed only for one night, but would stay longer next time. Breakfast and food was really nice and in reasonable price and the staff very friendly.
