To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United Kingdom-They do not have any hot or cooked breakfast. -Luggage storage is for an additional fee, which makes the stay here a bit pricier than in other hostels. -The rooms can get noisy with the windows open, and very hot with the windows closed in summer. -Not the hostel's fault, but there was a woman in my dorm room who was aggressive and clearly not suited for hostel life. She was acting like she was in her own room and we had to follow her rules. She shouted and tried to boss me around from the minute I arrived. She also kept her light on most of the night. This was my first time seeing such a person in a hostel, and it was a little worrying to be around her to be honest. Maybe reminders of hostel life rules (at check in, signs around the hostel) could deter such people from exhibiting unacceptable behaviour in hostels.
-The location is great. Right next to St Pancras International, so really convenient for those travelling. -Also, the bed was comfortable, the en-suite bathroom was clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. -In addition, they have secure luggage storage procedures, with tags given to you to be able to claim your luggage back.

United KingdomThe only complaint I had was that there is no privacy when it comes to the bed setting, unlike other big hostel chains that provides some level of privacy for each bed. Other than that, I am happy with my stay.
Right across the road from London St Pancras International station, you can have a lie in and casually walk to take the Eurostar without any hassle. Easy check in and lockable storages in the room, but you need to bring your own locks. 6 bed mixed dorm room had a shower and a toilet inside the room, which was handy. Mattress was also surprisingly comfortable and not soggy, I really had a good sleep. There is also a small space you can wash your hands /brush your tooth with a mirror in the room. I only stayed one night so I have not tried anything else. Reception had spaces with tables to sit on and do simple work and talk to other people, which is always a nice to have.

United States of AmericaWould have preferred there to be a shared kitchen, but I accepted that going in. The street sounds were very noisy at night. Also, no bunk curtains so when one person decided to keep her bunk light on all night long it was not optimal.
The bed was comfortable and the room and en suite bathroom very nicely sized.
