I thought breakfast could have been better - we had the continental breakfast and there really wasn't a lot on offer.

Amazing location, great price, comfortable rooms. Really a lovely youth hostel - we had a great stay

Parking is quite restricted when busy but there is a lay by very close by for overflow. Also no direct public transport to the site - taxi required unless walking/cycling - but this is due to lovely remote location so can’t have it both ways.

Perfect location for exploring the beacons, comfortable, clean and friendly base, hot showers & warm social areas good value & the pods & land pods are great with comfortable beds, usb charging & great cooked food if requested. Back to basics but really great, would definitely recommend.

We stayed in a camping pod. They had heaters and the mattresses were comfortable. The only downside was the long walk to the toilets as it was a rainy stay but that is to be expected camping in winter.

Excellent location in a beautiful setting close to Pen y Fan. Lovely communal areas with an open fire, sofa area and a bar area with cold beers and snacks to purchase.

Bedroom was above dining area so a bit of noise. Floor seemed to slope - beds could do with chocking up on one side.

Great location, a peaceful rural spot, parking available, use of kitchen, cosy fire

I didn’t like how a group of 15 people got served food before me and my partner especially when we booked our food almost 1 & half hours before the group. This was alarming considering the time you need to be up for breakfast & meals start at 5pm we didn’t get out food until 7:30pm so my pregnant partner had to wait without food from 9:30am until 7:30pm for food… Make sure you take your own lunch with you.

I’ve been here a few times with my partner and it’s a beautiful place to be it’s a shame they’ve added WIFI though it’s kind of spoilt the fact of a getaway from internet.

Parking was a little tricky. I had been informed that there would be space but there wasn't a bay available. I arrived in pitch black and from the car park the small walk has some solar lights which would be better replaced with something a bit brighter.

Location great. There is a public footpath leading directly to the Taft trail which then leads to Pen Y Fan. The room was warm & cosy with plenty of space for 6 people. The showers were hot with good pressure and lots of room so you can keep everything dry (unlike most camping showers). Communal Kitchen was great with all the things you need to cook (other than the food!)

Rooms were quite tight for space, drying room hardly warm. Some of the staff " abit grumpy". Due to the size of the building, some of the ceilings/ beams were very low. Beds were too short, anyone over 6ft will struggle
