It said it is in Marlow but isn't so we had to get cabs. We booked a.long time ago and booked two rooms but we were put nowhere near eachother which was really disappointing. My shower head was broken and sink blocked.

The bed. The room. The staff.

There was no hand soap or hand wash in the bathroom.

Room was lovely, up in the eaves of the house with a view over the garden. The garden was great to give the dog a run around - really lovely and interesting. A huge roll top bath and big comfortable bed.

We stayed in a room in a separate part of the building across the road from the pub. We would have liked a room in the old pub section and next time we would ask specifically for that.

Staff were brilliant, very helpful. Pub is a lovely medieval type building with stacks of character.

Room 51 v close to road but not too noisy at night.

All good though out of bottled coke, peanuts and crisps...odd for a pub. Young staff at breakfast and after v helpful.

The buffet style breakfast was disappointing as all 'full breakfast" items were cold despite in heated trays. This lack of basic quality spoiled our short but pleasant visit.

I didn’t particularly like the style of glass fronted lodge room and bed had no headboard however I slept well. No draught lager available on the evening which seemed unusual as that is most popular pint in the U.K.? !

Good location and very good rate. Breakfast was good .En suite shower room was very good . The Camden light ale was a very nice pint.

No aircon, the blinding let in too much light in the morning, woke up at 5:30 due to light and noise that sounded like a washing machine but assume it was a loud extractor fan. Bar prices bit steep

Lovely old building, beer garden, location, staff and great breakfast.

We stayed in room 20 in the Malthouse. The room looked sad.. windows needed replacing. A fridge would have been appreciated. There was no safe in the room The mattress didn’t fit the bed frame. Mo wardrobe, just a cupboard. The bath wasn’t clean… scum ring and wasn’t cleaned either of the days we were there. Measly portions of tea and coffee… we had to ask for more water. No telephone in room indicating no one on reception… yet notice in room said call 0 for reception. The staff were not attentive.. took over an hour for someone to bring said water, after we went down and asked twice.

Lovely location… good size bedroom, with free standing bath Lovely gardens, well maintained. Great veg patch and scarecrow. Good parking

It was like staying in a different hotel from 1st night to 2nd ! 2nd morning breakfast was amazing, service, public areas (i.e, ladies loos actually had toilet rolls!)

It was a good stay, across 2 nights, 2nd morning breakfast was excellent, unfortunately, 1st night, breakfast next morning was poor !

Not able to check in at 3pm as room not ready, went for a walk and checked in after 4pm Needed to ask reception for in room beverages which were not replenished. Bathroom toiletries were sparse with no shower gel available (Stock in hotel not available) Breakfast very slow as shortage of staff. Morning tea supplied without milk (Staff had to go to village shop to replenish) Full English breakfast arrived after 45 mins , poached eggs lovely, bacon not good and came without sausages.

Our room was very comfortable , clean and a king size bed.
