Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLack of chairs TVs that don't work, the cleaners would have seen the broken handcontrol, when they cleaned in there. Broken toaster left there. I did throw it away as we left, which still left another broken 1 that wouldn't always worked the one the lady brought. The patio door doesn't shut unless you slam it. The back bedroom had latts missing, so could fully close. The down stairs living room and bedroom were very cold during the day as well as the night. I struggle to get up the stairs, which is why we keep coming back to this house. It is a lovely house and location.
We rang and paid for an extra night, so that we could leave later than 10am on the Monday. This is maybe our 7th or 8th stay. It has gotten worse each visit,w Even with us reporting g the faults. The ones the staff can sort out straight away they do within hours. There isnt enough dining chairs, you have to use the 2 plastic patio chairs from outside. There is only 5 dining chairs. And 1 person has to stand. The metal chairs outside are not ok to bring inside. There is only 4 outside chairs altogether. So you have to take the plastic patio chairs back out if you want to sit outside, and again only 4 chairs . We were a family of 8. The tv in the dinning room didn't work the hand control that was near the tv, had been demolished it was the rubber key pad, a broken part of the hard plastic part that would have gone over the keypad, and a random black piece. There was no insides to it anywhere. A double socket in the kitchen doesn't work, there was 2 toasters didn't work . The lady brought us another one. The TV in the disabled bedroom didn't work, the lady brought us one from the house next door. The sink in the wet room leaked at the bottom as the water drained away. When we arrived it was a dirty line of water. We had to mop it up before letting the little ones to the toilet,as didn't know where it was leaking from. Lamps have disappeared from bedrooms and bins. We have to find a lamp for the children to be able to go to bed. The metal beds upstairs and down stairs are so rickety and squeaky. I use the downstairs disabled bedroom and you sink in the middle and it sways. Its scary getting onto the bed and you don't want to move incase it breaks. My sons both said the same about there beds. We have told people before . Cutlery is not a full set of 8 of each and all miss matched. 3 saucepans and a tiny frying pan, it could do with a saucepan that is big enough to cook rice or pasta for 8 people.

United Kingdomthe beds were uncomfortable and noisy, there was only 1 shelf in the oven, difficult to cook for 7, 2 of the plug sockets in the kitchen were not working, there were not enough chairs outside for everyone, when they cut the grass they just left the grass stuck to everything, we had to tidy it so we didnt walk it into the house
the house was big enough, there were plenty of fridges and freezers. the kitchen equipment was all working, the showers were hot

United KingdomThe house is very basic, the bed in one of he rooms is squeaky and kept everyone awake, the fridge stank of fish, there was no basic things such as a can opener, no Hoover so unable to properly clean carpeted areas, there are only 2 glasses for a house that suits 8 unless you use tiny glasses that are not much bigger than a shot glass. The lamp in the bedroom doesn't work, the garden grass was long and full or brambles. Dvd player in the living room but no lead to connect it to the TV, TV in the double bedroom upstairs doesnt work. On arrival there was the inside of a vape pen in the garden so harden clearly hadn't been checked. The floor was also dirty on arrival It says wifi available in all areas but we had to chase to request wifi pass codes on arrival (we've had the house 3 years and always have to pester for wifi passes), wifi only works in the kitchen as signal too poor elsewhere in the house. The heated towel rails come on as soon as the hot water taps are turned on in either shower or kitchen sink, you can not control the timing ot temperature of the heating so with the hot weather we've had this made the house hot so needed fans in all rooms
The house is in an ideal location, the garden is secure for the dogs. The house is large and spacious, right at the front of the park and close to the beach (enter via promenade opposite), it has ample parking right outside and a driveway. Despite it being very basic and not having basics such as vacuum, can opener, drinking glasses etc we always have a lovely time and have done for 3 years now. We hope to come back again next year

United KingdomWe didnt recieve the key code to get in, left on hold ages on the phone and had to wait 45 minutes in the rain to get in!! Sockets in the kitchen don't work and hasn't done for the past few years we have rented - no repairs despite us telling them. One ring on the hob doesn't work- also reported last year and not repaired. Doesn't have free WiFi and have to ring and ask for codes and even then, it's poor Not enough chairs for a home that sleeps 8 people. Tv in bedrooms and kitchen dont have an aerial so cannot watch it. Living room window latch is broken downstairs and has been for the past couple of years - not repaired
Close to the beach, good location, parking outside, small enclosed garden. Didn't get in for almost an hour so they gave us a late check out
